Fast heating but no match for the charcoal/wood tray

Unfortunately the gas attachment doesn't perform as well as the regular charcoal/wood tray. The flames shoot up/over the pizza and there's no radiant heat for the side of the crust. As a result it's more difficult to get a crispy crust without burning the toppings. I also find the range to regulate the flame quite small: while turning the knob it seems nothing is happening 2/3 of the way. The only advantage to me is this gas burner is easier when cooking more than 6 pizzas at which point the tray for charcoal/wood is filling up with ashes and performance decreases.

First comments from wife: that was fast! . Compared to wood and charcoal combination gas is easy and fast. Maybe you loose a little bit in taste but it's so convenient for winter pizza session. Quality, easy installation and fast cook *****

I use it for everything now

Similar to other IR thermometers I've used. The display is bright and clear, easy to switch betweeen measures and the scanning feature is nice.
