NIce, but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice refrigerator. A couple things annoy me though. The shelves on the door can only be positioned in a certain manner, that don't allow for taller items like wine bottles to be stored there. Similarly the shelves in the main part of the appliance are limited in how they can be inserted, so they cannot be arranged completely to my liking. Another thing is the ice maker, which makes smaller cubes than I was accustomed to with my former fridge, and to retrieve them, as well as the water, requires pressing on the top of the dispenser levers rather than the lower part. This makes it somewhat awkward, especially if using a paper cup instead of a hard sided container. The water filter is an unnecessary feature that I hope isn't mandatory to replace for continued operation of the unit.

Running well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty much the same fridge as the one I replaced. The outside dimensions were identical. Inside is a whole different story. It’s only 20 cubic feet vs the 25 I had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Whirlpool side by side refrigerator not quite a month ago, and am generally pleased with it. The one problem I have is with the ice dispenser, the ice flies everywhere, some in the glass and some ends up on the floor. The water dispenser works fine.

Lacks features I was used to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Whirlpool counter depth refrigerator in my last house and when I bought my new place, I replaced the old fridge that was here with a new Whirlpool. The performance is similar, I like the water filter placement better than what was in my other refrigerator, one thing I don’t like is the ability to see the amount of water that is being dispensed. On my old fridge I could see how many ounces were being dispensed, the new one only allows for a preset amount which is annoying. I could also check on the filter to see how much life was left, the new one doesn’t allow for that. I would have given 5 stars but these changes have lowered my rating.

A happy customer.

This is the first time I have had the convenience of having water and ice served from the door and will never go back to the old ways of ice trays and pitchers. The multiple drawers also provide convenient storage. With the side by side design I can store both frequently used freezer and refrigerator items at a proper height to save my aching back. Thanks for the good design.

Easy organization shelving
