Crappy ice dispenser switch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had my new side by side for about a month. Works great except for the ice dispensing switch. It it hard to activate the ice dispenser. That takes a 5 star rating down to 3. Other wise the refrigerator is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find it very difficult to push the "peddle" to get ice from the door. The same type "peddle" for the water works just fine. The ice and water in the door are also very low and I am tall. I realize after the fact that it is because it is advertised for wheelchair accessibility, so that is probably why it is lower. Also, because of the position of my refrigerator next to a wall, when I open he freezer, it does not open wide and the ice mechanism makes it difficult to get past and put things on the upper shelves. I do love the leftover dishes in the refrigerator door.

Exterior easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the Whirlpool based on research of quality products approx. 2 wks ago and like the lighting and visibility inside the unit.
We do not like the recovery cooling rate if you open the door. Literature warns that holding the door open for extended time may damage the motor and that is not part of the warranty. Also the water and ice dispensers are recessed and difficult to get to and operate.
