Very Roomy Refridgerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was a replacement for another fridge. We had water and ice on the outside of the door on the old fridge but just went with the on-freezer ice maker as the in door dispensers seem to be a weak spot for fridges. This fridge seems huge even though dimensions were similar to our old fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator does not work needs 2 parts that are on backorder. New frig that we can't use. My partner is a type 2 Diabetic we need refrigeration. Very dissatisfied with Whirlpool, hasn't worked for over a week and no word on when it will be repaired or replaced. FURIOUS and will spread this poor service information far and wide.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Icemaker Problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator with only one feature - ice maker located in bottom freezes compartment. When the refrigerator first started up we had a significant problem - water from the ice maker sprayed over the interior back side of the freezer compartment and the inside the upper shelf of the freezer compartment. After that the ice maker did not seem to function properly. We had unplug it to turn the refrigerator off to defrost the freezer and get rid of the water. We then turned it back on again, but made sure the water and ice maker was not turned on again until the freezer compartment had fully reached its normal operating temperature. After that it has worked fine. Whirlpool should do two things - 1) provide a switch so that the freezer can be turned off without having to turn of the upper refrigerator compartment and 2) update the startup instructions so others don’t have this same problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New fridge with bad compressor. Called for repair, guy came out said it needed a compressor and that someone would be out in a few days to repair. That was three weeks ago. Still waiting. It’s a beautiful, but rather large, paperweight.
