Disappointment from ninja

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a very big fan of the ninja brand however the pizza oven was a huge disappointment. A product like this needs to come with the appropriate tools for taking the pizza in and out like a pizza peel. While being very careful and using a cutting board to slide board to slide the pizza in I burnt myself and it caused a huge mess. If the instructions tell you to use a pizza peel it should include one since not all are the same. I don’t understand why anyone would buy it at the price point it’s at and got get the tools to use when receiving. It was impossible to clean after as well.

Great for a small pizza party or grilling on a bud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Ninja 5- in-1 Portable Electric Pizza and Outdoor Oven for free in exchange for my honest review. This pizza oven is compact and light enough to take on camping trips or to bring to a family cook-out provided you have electricity. It has enough weight to sit comfortably and safely on an outdoor metal grill table. The design is a sturdy black and silver metal with a front facing door and easy display with digital settings, buttons for mode, temperature, lighting, and time plus a big stop/start button. It has five different functions: pizza, bake, broil, warm and proof, so it can be used for more than just baking pizza. Although, the pizza settings are by far the most fun to use. There are settings for Neapolitan, thin, NY, pan or custom pizza, so you can get the crust and toppings cooked exactly the way you want it. The temperature range is a whopping 90-700 degrees so it makes a crisp, browned bottom char restaurant quality crust in about 3 minutes. There is an included pizza stone that fits inside and you can cook directly on it. I highly recommend purchasing a pizza peel, pizza oven brush/scrapper and a cover if you plan to leave it outdoors. We also separately purchased a grill table to set it on as well as a grill rack to cook meat in the accompanying baking pan. We found the Neapolitan pizza setting to be the easiest and quickest to cook, with a soft interior and crusty exterior to the pizza. It would take about 20-25 minutes to heat up all the way and we would cook three or four pizzas back-to-back for convenience. Using the included recipe booklet suggestions, brownies, potatoes, and Chicago style pizza cooked perfectly in the black metal baking pan that comes with the oven. I found the light function handy so that you could see the progress of cooking and make sure not to burn anything. The electric cord is short and sturdy for safety and can be used with an outdoor extension cord. Cleaning probably took the most effort, once the oven was cool, we could remove and scrape off any blackened bits on the pizza stone and brush the interior of the oven for anything that splattered. It was a little hard to get the crumbs from under the bottom heating coils with the brush, so we used a cloth to get into the hard-to-reach spots. My family enjoyed the ability to experiment with 10”-12” personal pizzas with toppings of their choice. Our favorite concoction was making dessert pizzas using apple pie fillings or Nutella and bananas. We would partially bake the pizza crust for one and a half minutes at 700 degrees, then add dessert toppings and cook for another 2 minutes. In my opinion, this is a great replacement for a small grill and is versatile enough to be used for most outdoor cooking needs for those on a budget, looking for portability or for folks who have a small outdoor space but do not want to compromise on quality of food cooking methods.

Very good product for pizza party
