Nearly perfect

I bought one of these as an add-on for my anker 767. It doubles the capacity from 2048 Watt hours to 4,096 Watt hours. The baytery is reasonably carryable at a weight of about 47 lb and includes in set carrying handles. It fits neatly on top of the anker 767 and includes a heavy connection cable. The cable has very effective lock mechanisms on both ends that need to be rotated about 12° before you can pull out the cable. This prevents accidental disconnection. To turn the extra battery on you just need to long press the button on the battery. Once it's connected, it beeps and the charge level is shown with five LEDs on the battery, and also as a percentage on the main batteries display. You can also see charge level percentage on the anchor app separate from the main battery. One of the nice things about it is that even once the cable is connected to the Anker 767 you can turn off the extra battery with a long press of its power button which causes it to beep to tell you it is turned off. Once off it disappears from the anker & app display. Give it another long press and it will once again appear on the main display app. Rather than a regular parallel setup where the battery is charged and discharge simultaneously, the main anchor 767 battery charges first and then the backup battery charges. When discharging, it discharges the extra battery first and then discharges the main battery. This is very useful if for example you want to travel only with the main unit as it will charge that battery first. My only suggestion for improvement of the setup is to change the attachment cable from straight connectors to right angle connectors, which would require less space between the back of the unit and the wall. But this is a minor gripe. Also, and while I'm sure Anker does not suplory this, I dropped the battery from the top of the main unit while carelessly moving it, with no damage. whatsoever. It's a very sturdly built, tough product.

Expansion Battery sucks because of the cable
on May 15, 2023

Whoever designed the cable that connects the power station to the expansion battery should be fired. If you need (like I do) to keep your power station back against the wall you are out of luck. Because they could not design that cable with a 90 degree connector you need to keep it about 8" from the wall so the straight in, thick cable can hook up. I would like to send my 767 and 760 back because this just doesn't work for me

Haven't tested the full capacity

Haven't tested the full capacity of the setup but definitely don't have any doubts on performance. Would like to have the ability to add additional batteries and a better cable angle on current expansion battery setup.

thinking twice?
on May 29, 2023

I bought the Anker 767 and am happy with it. (only the user-friendly app could offer more options) Now I am thinking about buying the expansion battery but I first hope they redesign the connection cable so that it doesn't stick out (vulnerable and not practical) and secondly I think twice because it only works with my 767 which I hope will never stop working because what to do with a perfect 760 in the future, will the next power stations accept the battery or will you at least provide an adapter in case?

Great - BUT

Please, please, please fix the expansion battery cable to be right angle plugs. Right now, it pushes the unit a foot or more away from the wall because of the connector cable being a striaght socket instead of right angle

Very happy with the product and performance

The only thing I would change is the cable between the units. I think that. 90 degree cable either horizontal or vertical would be more space efficient and easier to use the power station in a compact real world scenario. This is the only design change I would make

Simple, clean power

This makes for a clean and simple installation versus a DIY installation. It is also easily installed in a different RV if I switch.
