Grip + Wallet = Love

They sent me this wallet early to get some user reviews and I really like it! It feels well put-together and the grip/stand is just as good as it is in the Snap 4. Holding basically any amount of cards I need to is cool as well. Functions exactly as I would expect, nothing more and nothing less! I did run into a couple of minor issues: When I load it up with more than 4-5 cards, it gets a little bulky, and getting cards out can be a bit tricky with one hand. I also wish there were more color options to choose from. Overall though, it’s a solid product that makes my life easier—definitely worth trying!"

A wallet that finally check the boxes.

I’ve tried many MagSafe wallets, but the OhSnap grip wallet finally met my needs. It’s slim, feels premium, and has a kickstand, grip, and outward magnetic feature, to boot. It’s relatively thin when empty and allows an extra card or two compared to the Apple wallet I have enjoyed for years. However, it’s a bit heavy and bulky. I prefer it over my old ridge wallet. While it feels solid and sturdy with just two cards, it’s has some slight wiggle with three or more. The stand only works in landscape and is unstable in portrait. These are the only cons. I recommend this wallet and am satisfied with it. I wonder if the carbon fiber version is lighter enough to justify the cost Increase, although I prefer the aesthetics of my obsidian black color way. I do recommend this wallet as it is the best. I’ve tried thus far and I’ve tried quite a few MagSafe wallets as well as the classic Ridge.

Almost perfect

The build quality is amazing but there's not an easy way to get to your cards if the wallet is on your phone. For reference, I had the pop socket wallet before this and with that wallet you could easily push up from the bottom to access your cards. On the ohsnap wallet, you need to detach your phone to get to the cutout on the back of the wallet.

Well-Made but Falls Short on Functionality and Value
on December 18, 2024

The Oh Snap Grip Wallet is a well-made accessory that combines a phone grip with a cardholder. While the build quality is commendable, its functionality leaves much to be desired. Accessing your cards requires removing the wallet from your phone, which disrupts convenience and efficiency. Additionally, as expected, the wallet becomes bulky when holding multiple cards, which further detracts from its sleekness. However, the biggest drawback is its price—it feels steep given the restricted ease of use and added bulk. Overall, it’s a sturdy product, but its practicality and value for money fall short.

Nearly perfect, very small room for improvement

Here’s a revised, more concise, and friendly version of your review:Having tried many MagSafe wallets, I feel confident commenting on the quality of this grip wallet—it’s nearly perfect. Made of premium materials, it feels great in hand, adheres well to a naked iPhone, and is impressively slim for what it offers. That said, there are a few downsides: when holding three or more cards, there’s a slight wiggle that detracts from the premium feel. After just a week of use, I’ve noticed some black finish rubbing off, revealing silver underneath. While this is somewhat expected, I hoped it would take longer to show wear. The grip component works flawlessly, but I do question its long-term durability.Overall, it’s a keeper and one I’ll return to if I ever need to replace it. A more premium titanium version would be a welcome addition to the lineup.

Good quality

This wallet is pretty good quality and the magnets are really strong. However, this thing is pretty heavy. It's like having a second phone on your phone. When you have six or seven cards in it, it is very difficult to find the one that you want. It takes a lot of force to push up the cards from the back side.

I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and to be honest I’m not sure how often I will be using it going forward. I was really excited at the idea of being able to use my ohsnap grip along with a wallet but unfortunately the magnetic grip of the wallet just isn’t secure enough. There have been several times where the wallet has come off and I’ve had to search for it in a panic. I actually don’t mind the bulk (it’s not that bad) and I don’t mind the fact that I have to take off the wallet to get my cards out. I just wish that it would stay on when it’s supposed to stay on.

I absolutely LOVED the original Snap wallet with the fan design and modular components. It was minimal, secure, and really sleek looking...so when they decided to discontinue it, I was disappointed. Then, I saw that they were releasing this new Snap Grip wallet, and I was hopeful that it would be just as solid as the original. It's not much different from a generic Ridge wallet with a Snap grip on it. You can't take your cards out without removing the wallet from your phone, so it defeats the purpose of carrying them together (attached). When you do get it off, it's not the easiest to access your cards as the thumbhole is only in the center of the card face. With no side access, you're trying to get a good enough grip to push the whole stack of cards out so you can select the one you need.I've resorted to putting a magnetic magsafe sticker on one of my older original Snap Wallets, and it's so much more functional. I'm not sure why Oh Snap didn't go down this road from the beginning. IMO, this wallet is too expensive for no value added.
