Over heats

I’ve ordered many products, but this has to be the most disappointing one by far. I purchased two of these Snap Phone Grip Wireless Chargers—one for myself (iPhone) and one for my dad (Android)—and both turned out to be complete disasters. While charging, both of our phones overheated to dangerous levels. My iPhone would actually shut down until it cooled off, and my dad’s phone got so hot that the Snap Grip melted right off! This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a serious safty concern. I cannot stress enough: DO NOT buy this product. It’s poorly designed and potentially hazardous.

Was great but didn't last 6 months

It was great despite getting SUPER hot, even when not using a phone case. But the glass got a crack in it about 3 months in, didn't drop it or anything. Just noticed a crack one day, probably from the charger being glass and the magnets being fairly strong and snapping the phone to the charger over and over. But it still worked fine with the crack so it wasnt a big deal. Unfortunately just stopped working out of no where today. Haven't even had it 6 months. For the price I would have assumed it would have lasted longer especially with how gentle I was with it.

Doesn’t work with many cases

One of the requirements for this to work properly is that the phone case must be thin enough. Unfortunately, I choose a relative thick MagSafe compatible case to protect my phone. With the snap ring attached to the outside of the case, the phone gets hot and charging is stopped. My phone actually gets depleted in my car on long trips, unless I remove it from the case. I’ve given up on this charger and have gone back to a direct wired connection for charging

Description Wrong & Overheats
on February 25, 2025

The description for the product states that it is thinner than the previous Snapcharge. It is not! It is actually significantly thicker than the original Snapcharge.I also agree with a previous reviewer, this Snapcharge overheats. I purchased two of these and both of them overheat causing the charger and the phone to become too hot to handle. I experienced this same issue with the prior Snapcharge and had to do several replacements with support before I received one that did not overheat. This may be a quality control issue of some kind. These devices appear to be very sensitive to the power adapter used. If that's the case, it should come with one.Regardless, I will be submitting a refund request. I am not up for exchanging the devices until I get a pair that do not overheat.

It is great until it overheats and starts to burn you when using.

I bought this item because of the deal but Do Not Recommend it. The product overheats itself and the phone. Also, it charges pretty slow.

Qi 1.0 7.5W max charging on iPhones, 15W for others

New MagSafe charger from Apple can do 25w wireless for an iPhone 16/16 Pro. This charger hasn’t been updated to Qi 2.0 which would be able to do 15W on all iPhones past iPhone 11.

I have used it for a few months and the cord is starting to separate from the magnet. Not sure how long it will last or how safe it is with the wires exposed
