More difficult than it needs to be.

I bought this for my wife's birthday. This software is WAY more convoluted than necessary. 5 steps needed to press "Make"? We have not been able to print a single thing with it. The software is absolute garbage, only providing 1/3 of the useless features without paying more, the machine can't read where the paper is, so if always cuts off the edge...I would return this stupid thing if I could and get a different brand. Cricut DS needs 1 main button...Make/Print. You should be able to upload a thing, frame it in a preview, then print/cut the image. My laser printer does it, my metal engravers do it, my CNC machines do it, my printer does it...Cricut can't be bothered. Screw this machine and whichever imbecile designed the software suite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I enjoyed working with my Cricut 3 and recently upgraded to the Cricut 4, which is faster and works even better! Only 3 stars because about two weeks after I purchased the Cricut 4, the Cricut 5 was announced which was a little upsetting!

Im not real happy with the way the Marker 4 does not keep your mat size. I'm making small items and it keeps defaulting to 12 X 24 mat size. My ExploreAir would also allow me to just hit the go button a second time if I was doing multiple pages of the same project. Now each time I have to tell it what paper I'm using. Elsewise i like the machine.

This Cricut 4 seems the same as my original Cricut. It doesn't seem any faster when cutting. I love Cricut, but I was seriously looking forward to some notable changes since the original version.
