We do understand your disappointment with the router and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing connection problems. To resolve this, verify if the router’s security settings matches with your ISP’s modem credentials, verify if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI-7, check updates for these devices. Also, try to disable "Smart Connect" and try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Try resetting the mesh routers and reconfigure or set up the devices. Also, we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it is running with an older version. Firmware is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/range-extenders/all-series/rp-be58/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RP-BE58. I needed an Extender to get Wifi to some outdoor products and to reach one end of the home. It is hooked up by a Cat 6 wire running from the router to the extender. It took a few minutes to boot up and to update the software through the app. After that it was connected and repeating my router name. Our outdoor product signed in and is working. I have 2 older products that might have been kicked off of the router (not staying connected) but since the extender is running I haven't had that problem. Maybe the extender fixed that! So far so good.

So far the mesh extender has been impressive. Super easy to install and easy to manage via the Asus app. Compatible with my new Asus Wifi7 tri-band router. I upgraded my cables to cat8. Speed tests are blazing. No problems to report at this stage.
