I needed an upgrade!

This is going to completely replace my old bulky steamer. I wasn't sure If I "needed" a new steamer, but once I saw how beautiful and compact this steamer is, I decided I needed an upgrade. This is at least half the width of my last steamer so I could totally leave it on the counter if I wanted. Plus it KICKS OUT the steam and looks prettier! No more bulky handle or bright flashy colors that make me want to hide it after every use!

What a perfect highlight reel of the SilkSteam Pro. It even splits the water molecules into a finer, silkier, more cloud-like steam!

OBSESSED. How did I live without this?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an esthetician, I am very well aware on the benefits of steaming the skin. Steam softens the skin, loosens congestion, and can also help products penetrate the skin further. However, I have never thought to own a personal steaming machine for myself and for my skincare routine. And now I can’t live without it. The machine starts up quickly and smoothly, with a soft stream of steam that you can direct where needed because of the adjustable nozzle. I have been using this about 3 times a week with my more intensive and hydrating serums and treatments while incorporating a gentle massage and soft extractions so I can get the most benefits from my products. Afterwards, my skin is GLOWING! It looks so healthy and smooth, and feels soft all day. I am in love, and can’t be without it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an older woman who prioritizes my skin care to fight aging. This definitely helps my products penetrate into my skin better and become more effective. I also use the steamer on my hair. I love the fact that this is a portable steamer definitely travel friendly. I find it very beneficial and effective on my hair because I do have 4c hair which is a very curly or coily hair type. I also have low porosity which means it’s harder for my hair to obtain hydration and moisture unless the hair follicles are open and able to receive water or hydration. The steamer opens up my hair follicle, prepping it to take hydration or moisture. This is really great for deep conditioning my hair because the product is not just sitting on top of my hair, It is actually entering the hair follicle and doing his job, hydrating my hair and making it more beautiful

All Steamed Up, But Not Impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a self-care enthusiast who enjoys facial masks and steamers, I was hyped to try the PMD SilkSteam Pro and elevate my routine at home. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered an oily residue on the steamer right out of the box. Having sensitive skin, this immediately raised a red flag. Was this leftover essential oil that might irritate my face? Washing the steamer helped alleviate the issue, but it definitely put a damper on the whole experience. While the steamer itself functioned alright, producing a decent stream for the standard 15 minute session, it wasn't exactly amazing. Overall, the initial oily residue coupled with just an average steaming experience left me feeling like there are probably better options out there that wouldn't require the extra cleaning step and deliver superior results.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are so sorry you experienced oily residue. There are some parts in the steamer that get a few drops of grease or lubrication when being assembled. This is harmless and is intended to keep the moving parts in perfect condition. If you find excess oil, wipe those areas down with a dry cloth.

I typically don't always have the time to go to the spa and get pampered like should, as often as I should, and the older I get the more I like yo focus on what my skin needs, especially my face. With the PMD Beauty SilkSteam Pro is like having a spa in your own home, where you can use it whenever you can fit it into your busy life. It's fairly easy to use, and recommends to steam 2-3 times a week for best results. It comes with 3 essential oil foam filters so you can add your favorite essential oil to your spa grade facial steaming experience. Also, it's prefect in incorporate it at any step of your skincare routine, me personally, I liked to steam before cleansing, to open my pores, and help to enhance absorption. If you are looking for a spa grade facial steamer, this is the one to get!

But sometimes I love trying new beauty items for myself and for my clients that ask for recommendations. I wanted to try SilkSteam Pro. My age: mid-late 30s My skin type: combination Skin concerns: dryness with fine lines Product: light weight (only slightly heavy when filled with water) and easy to assemble. Very quiet. One setting when turned on. Adjustable head to position the steam comfortable to your liking. Comes with mini round filters to use your favorite essential oil, for pleasant scent. My experience: I’ve never tried a facial steamer before. So trying this enticed me. First I used to use a pot of boiling water and covering my head with a towel to get the best of a facial steamer before facial steamers. This device I found unpleasant for me. I felt like I was drowning with the steam coming from the top. I adjusted the head and I moved myself furthered away to see if I can better control the amount of steam. I tried different ways I can think of and sadly I found it to be too uncomfortable for me. Overall, this device I didn’t find it was for me. I’m not sure I would even recommend it. My experience is probably different to others but for me it’s a no.

It can be redirected upward more or downward more, but as long as the power is on and there is water in the reservoir, there will be steam coming out.

Love this steamer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] l've worked in many beauty retail stores such as Ulta and Sephora l've also represented many skincare brands. I love seeing brands that actually put a lot of work into their products and aren't in the industry just for the money. PMD has many great tools for skin care and this is by far my favorite. This steamer softens up my skin, which makes it super easy to extract blackheads and whiteheads out of my skin. The steamer also helps facial treatments penetrate deeper into the skin and become more effective. I would cleanse my skin and use the steamer before I use a detoxifying mask or hydrating mask. If I’m using a hydrating mask I would continue using the steamer and my face looks so plump, hydrated and radiant. I recommend this for anyone who is looking to take their skincare to the next level.
