Stainless steel scratches but great cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just received our Frigidaire Professional cooktop gas 36”. Delivery from Frigidaire was painless and we had to secure our own installation. The cooktop looks great and works well except 18000 btu burner makes a popping sound when a 12” frying pan is put on top of it. Frigidaire is going to address the issue. We would suggest that Frigidaire not attach burners to cooktop with tape and pack separately in the box. The problem is that even removing tape residue with GooGone it still scratches the stainless steel. We were extremely careful with the GoiGone and still got scratches removing the tape residue. The surface cleans easily with a mixture if water and vinegar (50/50 mixture) and MICROFIBER CLOTH not a paper towel. Our biggest concern is how easily the stainless steel scratches but I guess this is a characteristic of stainless steel but our previous Kitchen Aid did not scratch this easily.

Love the Ease of Cleaning and Multiple Burners

Overall, Beautiful Cooktop! There is a shortcoming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the cooktop for 3 days. Very attractive appliance that offers nice grates and an overall clean appearance. Substantial backlit knobs (while in use) are very helpful. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. Con: the center BTU is 18,000 for this professional cooktop while some Frigidaire non-professional cooktops that Frigidaire carries manufacturered before this unit have 20,000 BTUs. (They also cut the microwave wattage from my prior Frigidaire professional oven/microwave combo from 1200 to 1000 on their oven/microwave combo). Frigidaire's professional lines should carry the premium performance enhancements.
