Unbalanced cooking - regrets

Anything even close to a 16 inch pizza will burn on the sides with the larger flames, reasonably cook straight back with the smaller flame and then be very undercooked in the front. It doesn’t feel like there’s a way even with a lot turning to get a balanced even cook, so you don’t really even get to use the added space that comes with koda 2 pro vs the 16. . Regretting not going with the Koda Max.

First two cooks went great. Third time the flame would light and then go out. I switched out 3 propane tankes to make sure it wasn't the gas. Very disappointed in the new product that I was so excited to upgrade from my Koda 12.

Nice Upgrade

The new generation Ooni Koda 2 Pro is a nice upgrade from our original Koda 16. The 18” cooking area combined with dual burners and the more flexible control valve makes a difference. Our first pizza from this oven was definitely a step up in quality and ease of cooking.

I really like this pizza

I really like this pizza oven. I think it’s the largest size that Ooni makes. I’m a beginner so there are a lot of things to learn about making pizza. The most difficult thing thus far is launching the pizza off of the peel into the oven. I’m watching lots of how to videos on YouTube.

I had an Ooni pro for 7 years and just replaced it with this. The heat is far more uniform and easy to control. I am able to use it for so many more things than previously and far quicker to set up and get going. Great bit of kit.

We have enjoyed making and eating the pizzas. We got one with the rotating ceramic board which makes it super easy. I burnt the first one but after that it was smooth sailing.
