For those who are wondering, you get the SOC version.
It’s as expected. Heavy, bulky, and hot. It runs great and fits great. No regrets.
Time to MFG and rub it in all the 40s series faces!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Coil whine is an issue

The 5090 series has issues with coil whine. I had hoped that buying a top-of-the-line car like the MSI Suprim would help me avoid this. I was wrong. MSI, like all the other manufacturers, are not checking their cards for coil whine before shipping them, so buying one is a bit of a lottery. My first card had a loud buzzing sound whenever I played a 4k game. My heart sunk. I couldn’t live with it, as it made games unenjoyable. When you put this kind of money into a card, you expect better. Fortunately, Best Buy accepted a return / exchange. The next card I received still had coil whine, but it was much more subtle and I can live with it. I did not want to take chances on returning it again. I am very grateful to Best Buy for accepting the exchange. However, I am disappointed that MSI doesn’t have better quality control. At this price, these cards shouldn’t be making a buzzing sound. The 5090 series as a whole is not a well designed card. That is Nvidia’s fault, not MSI. All the manufacturers have the same issues. I am happy with the card overall, and hopefully the power cable doesn’t melt in the future (yet another nvidia design flaw). Here’s hoping the next generation is better. For now, this card is as good as it gets for this generation. If you buy a 5090, may the odds be ever in your favor.
