Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am replacing a 10 year old Amana with similar features to this new unit. I am disappointed in the door locking feature. I much prefer the undermount handle on the old one. This new model one needs to pull straight out and clicks into a clip mounted in front of the cabinet. This causes the mounting screws to loosen and pulls the dishwasher out of place. I also do not like the midnight interior. I consider these two items mentioned to be a downgrade over my 10 year old model.

Just bought an Amanda built-in dishwasher and I like it, the only complaint is the drying cycle does not dry dishes completely. There is a lot of water still left in bottoms of cups, drinking glasses, bowls etc. I wish it dried like my older Amana model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gets my dishes clean but does not dry itself up at

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had previously purchased one of these models for my daughter about 4 years ago she loved it so much I decided to get one for myself when mine quit working. He washes dishes just fine but it dries them terribly. While the dishes themselves may be relatively dry the entire dishwasher stays wet for days if you don't open it when you empty it. I have checked and the heating element actually is heating to dry it just seems to trap so much humidity in the unit it can't dry the side walls of the dishwasher up at all. I mean this thing is soaking wet when I get the dishes out of it can't imagine it was really designed to be that way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
