We like the Hatch in

We like the Hatch in general, but having most of the features behind a subscription pay wall is very disappointing. This is an expensive machine to begin with, and then it feels like the company milks you for more money to be able to use its advertised features. Major disappointment.

Returning - Indefinite App Fee

Returning due to requirement to pay indefinitely for an app in order to use. For the price of the product, the app should be either 1-time or better yet free/included with purchase. In any case, the buyer should be explicitly told an app fee is required before purchasing. Bought as a gift. Terrible gift when it comes with an ongoing cost to the end user especially without prior knowledge.

Love it but needs improvements

I love the machine itself and the options. Every bedroom in my household has a Hatch (rest and restore) My main issue is with the app. The way the landing page for sound is all the paid options is really frustrating. If we don’t have a paid subscription, why would we care to see this page? Also the app is extremely slow to load; this is with every machine in our home regardless of distance to wifi.
One other thing that would be a great is if the sleep sounds faded to the rise alarm sounds instead of abruptly going from 45% to zero then the rise sounds coming on. It is jarring, which I did not think a machine praised for helping you ride better would do. Please fix this!

Fine but nothing amazing

I was unaware that you must buy a monthly membership. Not a great variety of stories as other apps have. The machine itself is easy to use. I have needed to contact their customer support and they were very responsive.
Overall would not recommend because what you get for every month or what they charge you is not an amazing deal

Great to going to sleep, figuring out wake up!

We really like the bedtime setting! It’s so relaxing to fall asleep to the sunset and ocean sounds. Still haven’t figured out the best morning wake up yet. It’s either too quiet or too loud. Would be interesting to have a longer sound option that isn’t always recognizably repetitive and starts quiet and grows in sound over time.
