What a scam????

I received this radio as a Christmas gift and just now "trying" to set it up. Unfortunately it appears I need to pay for a subscription in order to do much with it - many features appear to be locked.
have no intention of paying for a subscription - I'll continue to get my sleep sounds from Alexa!

App Needs Better Content

There is no value in paying for the app in its current state. There is not enough worthwhile content that actually is helpful to getting to sleep. There are many free podcasts that have better content. Please consider making it possible to incorporate other podcasts or work with a group that already has existing material, like Get Sleepy. They have a huge library of intentionally designed stories to help with falling asleep.

This is helping me wind down at night for sure! I didn't realize there was an additional subscription required, and that you couldn't use it as a bluetooth speaker, which would make the price point much easier. I would also like if you could hear the wake up sounds on your phone vs. playing through the Hatch so it's easier to pick an option on the go, without needing to be right next to the clock.

This is a really great way to set a wind -down routine. It has really helped me to relax and get my body ready for bed. The app has a wide variety of light, sound,and meditations to make a personalized routine to go to bed and wake up. So glad I got the Rose Hatch too. The color is beautiful.

I’m having problems with being able to set it to something I want it’s kinda awkward. It would be nice if it was more user-friendly. I’m thinking about returning it and looking for a refund on the program.

It's one of the better-looking sunrise clocks, that's for sure. However, for the price, the UX leaves more to be desired. I definitely don't feel comfortable relying on my Hatch, and prefer to keep my phone in my room and have additional alarms set on it even after a month with Hatch.
If you already have excellent sleep hygiene and a schedule that doesn't change week to week, the existing in-app alarm setting flow will probably be fine for you. Unfortunately, it feels cumbersome to set any alarm that strays from an established routine. If you need a quick nap, have a variable work schedule, or would like to sleep in after an unexpected night out, you may find yourself frequently fiddling with the app in bed to try to set the right alarm for the next day. (To the devs, my suggestion would be to remember the last N alarms that have been set even when no longer active, so that any one can be toggled to active as needed. )
One more huge gripe - recently I had to set an alarm for 4:00AM for work the following morning. I didn't realize that I had selected the wrong day of the week, mistakenly thinking that it would be Sunday. If it weren't for my back-up alarm on my phone, I would not have woken up in time. (Suggestion to devs: a feature that reads something like 'Next alarm in 6h 17 min'?)
