I've really enjoyed my Hatch in general, I do wish you could adjust the snooze time, and of course requiring an extra subscription for full content access feels a bit much.

Good hardware, awful app

Got this restore 3 as a replacement for my restore 1 that suddenly stopped working. I was excited for a new device, especially the improved physical controls. However, I was surprised to find out that my restore 1 routine was completely inaccessible on the restore 3. None of the content I had depended on for years every night to help me sleep was available, and I had to make an entirely new routine from scratch. The most frustrating part of the whole experience was realizing that the content I had just been pushed into paying for was worse than the content I had accessed for free with my restore 1. And to add insult to injury, I had to take an unnecessary and lengthy quiz just to get to that content. Really disappointed in this experience and I'll never recommend to anyone again.

False Advertising

The product page says “Goodnight phone, hello sleep…. Premium phone-free sleep”
Meanwhile you have to use your phone to: create an account, make any changes to your settings, and pretty much everything else is relied upon your phone.
As someone who works in Advertising AND has a more analog approach to tech, I did not expect the Hatch Restore would be so dependent upon your smartphone.

Restore 2 and my difficulties

Hello there hatch. I have been very pleased with my alarm up until this point. A few nights ago I was awoken abruptly by the quitting of my brown noise in the middle of the night, I tried to start and stop it but it would not work. I slept terribly the rest of the night as I rely heavily on sound because I am a very light sleeper. Now my hatch seems to be fine except for the fact that it resets its volume to low when I have it set to at least 60 and it is quite annoying to have to change it back every night. I’d like for you guys to help me fix this problem. Maybe a new restore would fix the problem however I find it terribly frustrating to have to buy a new one when my first clock I bought does not even work. Please advise and get back to me as soon as you can, thank you.

It looks nice on my nightstand but you’re limited to what you can do without paying for premium. So that’s frustrating. Not worth the money.

I find I am still having to set separate alarms on my phone to wake up. Don’t believe that this is work the amount of money, especially when having to pay also for a subscription.

Cute but Not worth the $$$$

Looks great, but completely falls short functionally
The Hatch Sunrise Clock is undeniably beautiful — definitely a win if you’re going for that clean, minimalist aesthetic on your nightstand.
But for the hefty price, I expected so much more. You have to pay extra to unlock most of the features in the app, which feels a bit frustrating after already spending so much on the device itself. Also, it doesn’t function like a traditional alarm clock — no quick set-and-go options, and no backup alarm. And despite having a speaker, you can’t use it as a Bluetooth speaker for your own music.
It’s a great idea and looks really nice, but it’s not as practical as I hoped. If you’re buying it for style and ambiance, and using it as a showpiece it delivers. If you're hoping for a versatile alarm clock or speaker, this might not be the one. You can use your google home with lights to recreate a lot of these features

10/10 great for overnight workers.

As an overnight healthcare worker waking up to sunrise is a luxury I do not have. I love the ability to mimic a sunrise to help my circadian rhythm without the abrupt and inconsistent sun exposure I wake up to. The design is so sleek and looks so beautiful on the night stand. I originally bought it due to the claim of waking up feeling more rested and easier wake up. I can say the claims have been true, I wake up in a better mood compared to my previous phone alarm clock. I love the different alarm options and wind down options. Makes it easier to keep my phone away from my bed and decrease scrolling in bed. 10/10 highly recommended.
