Needs to function as a lamp

Device works fine as long as you don't expect it to be a lamp. There's no button that just turns on the light, you have to have programmed a routine. Also if you have it on at all when the Cue to Unwind is scheduled, it just doesn't cue. So forget reading a bit before bed unless you are okay with looking up and realizing it's midnight and the light is still bright white.

I no longer hit snooze

In short, the hatch alarm clock has improved my sleeping habits. I fall asleep to rain sounds and wake up on the first alarm with the sun shining in my face. Highly recommend.

Works great. . . most of the time

I got a Hatch Restore 2 for Christmas and it was great at first. Since then, I have used it every night and morning and there have been 3+ mornings where the alarm has not gone off. Luckily, I set my phone alarm for a few minutes later so I was able to wake up for work. But I have found the Hatch Alarm to be unreliable because of this fault. I have checked my settings and ensured that it was not user error and I found that nothing was changed in between the time that it worked and didn't work. I really enjoy the product when it works and I would love to be able to say that I trust it to do what its being sold for - an alarm - but I do not. I'm not sure if I just received a faulty product or not, but I am disappointed with the outcome. I was so excited for this product but unfortunately it has let me down.
