A simplistic yet feature rich machine, the EM450 i

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DeLonghi EM450 is a feature rich espresso machine that's easy to use. Having owned multiple espresso machines at varying price points, I was immediately impressed by the consistency by which it makes each shot of espresso, the crema that always forms (which as any espresso drinker knows is key to the experience), and the simplicity of the machine overall. I was also quite impressed by how easily and consistently I was able to froth milk with the included frother, and the size of the water reservoir which allowed me to go more shots than I can remember before having to refill. Without naming the competitor brand that I regularly use, I will say this has entirely replaced that well known and respected mid-level machine, which left me pleasantly surprised as I had not previously used a DeLonghi machine. Overall I am very impressed with this espresso maker and will continue to use it on a regular basis for a variety of espresso related drinks.

Easy to use and better than getting coffee out and

I never want to go out and get coffee anymore and just want to make it at home. I feel like an at home barista and find myself looking up different recipes. The machine is durable, easy to use, a great value, and maintaining it has been a breeze. It works better than other brands I’ve tried and I like making coffee at home now. Highly highly recommend! Will be buying from this brand more often after seeing the quality of this product. Can’t recommend enough!

Great beginner friendly espresso :)

I received this espresso machine through influenster for free in exchange for my honest review. I was super excited but a bit intimidated because I’ve heard making espresso at home can be a bit complicated. But this machine is very straightforward, easy to use and clean, no bells and whistles just a solid machine that makes some really great coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my espresso machine about a month ago. so far, making my espresso has been an easy process when it comes to filling the water, making sure your espresso is packed with no residue on the side of the tray. while waiting for the machine to come up to temperature while making sure the espresso tray is fully clipped into the machine. I used the hot water spout on the side which made it easy to make my hot chocolate. The only tricky part that I had difficulty with was figuring out how to make hot milk. After reading the instructions carefully, I saw that you steam your cold milk. when doing so, you have to wait for your machine to be ready and make sure all the water is empty out of the spout before using the steam. this machine is very well made!

In terms of design, the machine has a compact footprint, making it a good fit for most kitchens, and its appearance is sleek and modern. When it comes to espresso quality, I've been consistently impressed with the results for such a tiny machine. That said, great espresso starts with the right beans and a consistent grind, so getting that part down is key to a successful brew.
The included manual is thorough and helpful, especially with troubleshooting tips, which I found useful when I encountered minor issues and crema quality issues. One downside is that the machine doesn’t come with a milk pitcher, so you'll need to purchase that separately if you're planning to froth milk.
I've been using the Linea Classic daily and am now comfortable with its operation. If you plan on making multiple drinks in one go, I recommend pulling all your shots first, then steaming the milk. If you alternate between the two, the machine can overheat and will require some time to cool down. Thankfully, it’s not a very loud machine, which is a nice plus.
