Safari game changer

I bought on presale for an African safari in April. I was able to document all the wildlife and scenery in beautiful pics and videos. It has all the bells and whistles but I found that the results were great just using intelligent auto. The 30x zoom is why I bought the camera and it did not disappoint. The WiFi feature and app were very useful in making sure I promptly uploaded my images on my phone to share with everyone back home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The ZS99 is sleek, lightweight, and small enough to fit in a pocket, making it ideal for travel and everyday carry. The build quality feels solid, and the camera features a comfortable grip, which helps when shooting at longer focal lengths. The 3-inch tilting touchscreen is a nice touch, allowing for easy framing, especially for selfies and vlogging. Cons: Struggles in low-light conditions, No electronic viewfinder, No external microphone input. Overall it’s a great camera for a great price. 10/10 recommend!

Pretty darn good fo the money

pretty cool camera with lots of controls for pro results. I do miss the viewfinder, however, but at this price point, you get what you pay for. It's remarkably easy to take snapshots and the camera is way easier than lugging a big DSLR or mirrorless, and the 30x optical zoom makes this a powerhouse. I do wish Pannie would include software for processing .rw2 files as Nikon does with their robust NX studio software. I don't own Photoshop or Correl or Lightroom, but it shouldn't be so proprietary to work with these superior files. I tried to download the webcam software and the download link would not work for me on my Mac. I would be nice to have a screw mount somewhere for filters and lens protection. Gotta get support.....

Enjoy the wide zoom range but wish the telephoto speed was faster. Long distance shots come in a lttle grainy. 1" sensor would have been a bonus. Overall, it is a solidly built camera and will work well for pocket travel.

It’s a compact little camera that appears to have lots of features and capabilities. Being new to photography, video instructions or better manual on settings could be very helpful. It’s a bit confusing. One button does so many different things based on mode, it’s easy to get lost. I feel like I need to take notes in order to find the settings I would like to use.

Great photos when working.

In December I went on a trip to the Middle east. On the first day my ZS80 which had taken wonderful pictures in Egypt in 2023 and in the canadian Arctic in 2024 Stopped working on the first day of my trip. The screen said System Error (Focus). I had a backup camera my ZS100 which took 1150 fine pictures but its wide angle telephoto zoom lever stopped functioning the last few days.So I have two Panasonic cameras that need repair. I have never had this with other brands.

A reliable camera

This is my third Lumix purchase. This camera has been my go to camera for outdoor hikes. I love it because it's small enough to carry in the pocket of a coat. The picture quality has been very good. It would be a great camera for anyone that likes to travel light.

Disappointed in zoom

I am disappointed in the quality of pictures. My phone takes much better photos and has a better zoom. I was really hoping to use this to get back into my passion of photography after going through a difficult time, but this was not worth the purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
