I thoroughly researched these machines before purchase, and I even remember my grandmother using something very similar in the late 70's. So I knew the pro's and con's of these machines. I recommend first really looking into these types of machines so you know how they actually work. (check Youtube) However, I did have 2 small issues with THIS particular model. First, the lint trap (which is in the washer) does NOT stay in. I need to contact Costway to figure out if it's fine running without it, or if they replace it, or...? But it falls out too easily. Second, the rotation of the water WILL go up the walls of the inside, under the lip, and drip a little down the front. It's not a lot, and I can live it. I can just set it in the bath tub. But just a heads-up. Other Con's... the filling hose is short and likely won't fit most taps. But you can always get something else... look into options! (I used a bucket) Spinner is a bit loud and you might have to hold the machine just while it starts up. Not much difference between "Standard" and "Soft"... just an extra few seconds between spins. Other Pro's... This uses a PUMP to drain out the water. (I love it! Little noisy, but it's not bad.) Not a gravity drain! It does a nice job washing cloths. I just put it on 6 minutes for wash and rinse for about 5-6 shirts. If you're looking into this particular model, I recommend looking into details for it because they all have slight differences. And be sure tho read through the instructions (even though some of it isn't terribly clear). It's not perfect, it's got some issues and I wanted to like it more, but it's definitely usable. Just be prepared! I've only done 3 loads. Will see if it holds up over time.
