Makes excellent Espresso. Although, it was bought for my daily cup of coffee. Works great, the coffee has a lot of crema on top. I just mix it in with a little cream.

I absolutely love this machine, its design, quality of the product, and, most importantly, the quality of the coffee it produces. This is my favorite espresso/coffee maker by far. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Love the crèmea, love espresso to make lattes hot and iced and to make my regular coffee. It DONT taste burnt like most machines. I’m serious run and get it while you can . Can’t wait for a frother and cups like other countries but other than that very pleased.

Solid choice for both espresso and coffee

My wife and I have been looking for a replacement for our Nespresso Expert machine - a nice but flawed Nespresso Original Line brewer that had some issues. Even though we loved having Americanos from the Expert machine, being able to brew a full-bodied large (10-12oz) mug of coffee quickly was not possible, outside of brewing a pair of lungo shots and still having to add hot water. The L'Or Barista, on the other hand, fits the bill nicely!
We're impressed with the overall look of the Barista, as well as the simplicity of the controls. Having a choice of 3 sizes for either espresso or coffee allows us to vary the extraction to the right amount for the capsule (and our mood/taste). The crema layer the drink is well formed... not like the overly foamy crema produced by the Nespresso Vertuo machines.
We only have two small issues with the Barista: the two-piece drip tray is a little fiddly... it can be removed to allow larger vessels under the spouts, but being a smooth oval shape, there's no good place to grip the tray in order to lift it up and out of the machine with one hand. Also, the capsule ejection action can get stuck on the larger coffee capsules if you don't pull the handle all the way up in a single motion - the capsule can tilt and get lodged in the mechanism... requiring you to open the capsule bin, reach up and play around with the (very hot) capsule until it re-seats itself in order to allow the handle to be pulled the rest of the way up. This has happened only twice, but I can see it being an issue for someone not familiar with how the mechanism works.
Overall, we love our L'Or Barista system!
