Tastes like carbonated Robitussin. This is NOT Code Red. This is not even good enough to be called a poor imitation. Calling this Mountain Dew is an insult to every Mountain Dew flavor ever made.

I have been dreaming of them putting Code Red Zero on the sodastream. This did not disappoint!!!!!!! Was super delicious and addicting!!!!!! Will definitely be buying more!!!!!!

I am a huge fan of store bought code red and jumped on the soda stream when I found out they have the zero sugar version since the real thing was discontinued long ago.
All in all I've bought quite a large amount of the zero sugar version after trying both. I found the zero sugar version tastes better than the sugar version in all honesty. The taste isn't quite exactly right on but extremely close and for artificial sweetener the after taste was better in my experience. I've tried multiple times to adjusting the amount of syrup and can't match the taste but the small batch and 1L come out good. It does taste much better highly carbonated and cold than not. I still grab a regular code red from the store from time to time as the flavor just pops a bit more but have been able to find my fix with this substitute. Although I would say I believe the caffeine content is pretty potent because if I have any from the soda stream version before bed I seem to have more difficulty sleeping not so much with the store version.
TLDR: Great substitute, not perfect. Best highly carbonated and cold with ice. Avoid before bed high caffeine. Highly recommend!

Tastes like the real deal

The regular Mt dew flavor has too much of a "fake sugar" or "diet" aftertaste. I can't deal. But code red is way better. There's still a tint aftertaste but not enough to taste bad. Since my local grocery store (HEB) quit carrying Code Red, this is perfect!

My favorite flavor in a zero sugar?! Yes please! So pumped they've released code red zero! I'm not sure I've ever seen a zero sugar option of this and it's spot on. The perfect cherry flavor - doesn't taste like cough syrup, I promise! Definitely snag this.

YES!! By far the tastiest of the Sodastream Mt Dew products!
They're all good, but Mt Code Red Zero Sugar tastes EXACTLY like the store bought version and it is fantastic!
