The flavor is great, and it gives you the carbonation you like, all while being better for you! I'll definitely be buying this over all the sugary and carb filled sodas.

Then I tasted it, and my first thought was, hmm, it tastes like it, too. I really wanted to like this. I love my Soda Stream and the flavors I've bought in the past. But this didn't do it for me.

A Fizzy Treat with a Medicinal Twist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Mountain Dew Code Red Zero Drink Mix as a complimentary gift in exchange for my honest opinion. I was excited to try it, given the brand's reputation for bold flavors and fun experiences. The drink mix delivers a refreshing fizz that can really quench your thirst, making it perfect for summer days or casual gatherings.
However, I have to mention that the cherry flavor isn't my favorite. It reminds me a bit too much of medicine, which detracts from the overall enjoyment. While the zero sugar feature is a great benefit, the medicinal aftertaste makes it hard for me to fully embrace the flavor.
Despite this, I still think the drink mix has a lot to offer, and I'm sure many cherry lovers would appreciate it more than I did. Overall, I give it 4 stars for its refreshing qualities and fun fizz, but the flavor could use some work.

Hard pass, tastes gross and too artificial

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mountain Dew code red zero reminds me of junior high days of pounding sickly sweet soda all day. But this version tastes even more artificial then I remembered. Too sweet when adding the “correct” amount but bland when adding less. It’s kinda messy and stains your fingers and whatever else it touches. I definitely wouldn’t buy or recommend.

Similar in taste with less guilt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband liked it very much. It is a great alternative to have if you want a somewhat healthier version of the soda. Our sodastream broke, so we just purchased seltzer water and he mixed it with that and it seemed to be no different.
