Galaxy ecosystem is incredible

The seamless actions across apps and devices is effortless. You can drag and drop files between devices, extend you monitor, and use your phone camera as an incredible Webcam.

A Powerhouse with Seamless Features

The seamless actions across apps make multitasking incredibly smooth, whether switching between notes and emails or editing documents on the go.
The Now Brief feature is a game-changer, keeping me updated without unnecessary distractions. Audio Eraser is another standout, removing background noise effortlessly from my recordings. The display is stunning, making gaming and streaming a joy, while the S Pen adds an extra layer of productivity.
Battery life is excellent, lasting me through the day with heavy use. The camera captures breathtaking details, even in low light. Overall, the S23 Ultra is a premium device that truly enhances my daily routine.

Battery Not Lasting For A Full Day

I got this laptop since I need a major update, especially in the battery-lasting department. It has been a few days of using this laptop and I am immensely disappointed that the battery does not last me for the full school day. I have it at full charge for the start of the day (8:00am) it drains fast in less than 6 hours (35% at 12pm). I was under the assumption that this laptop and its battery would last more than 6 hours.

Many Strengths with Several Glaring Weaknesses

There are many things about the new Galaxy Book5 Pro that are to like. The screen is beautiful, responsive and bright. Windows 11 feels very snappy. Wake from sleep happens almost instantly, navigating between apps and tabs is also smooth. The battery is a tremendous improvement over previous generations thanks to Intel's Lunar Lake Core Ultra series CPUs, putting it mostly on par with the Snapdragon and AMD releases.
With all these pros, you'd think I'd buy this again, but there are a few issues that I feel are glaring enough to warrant reconsideration.
The biggest for me is that lack of a camera that is compatible with Windows Hello which allows unlocking of the laptop. The finger print scanner works about 80% of the time which means entering a pin or password is a frequent enough annoyance. Seriously annoying on this brand new release of a laptop.
Second, the edge of the laptop will dig into your arm if your using this on your laptop on your actual lap. That's because the edge is not beveled in any way making it sharp- rounded edge would've been much better- but also the distance from the keyboad to the bottom edge is enormous. Decreasing the 'chin' on the screen would've helped and maybe making the screen the more standard 15.4" would've helped more. Then Samsung could have shortened the trackpad which has no benefit of being so big.
Third and similar to two, the size makes the laptop a little unwieldy and there is literally nothing to grip when carrying this laptop room to room while it's closed. I'm considering adding a rubber strip or grippy stickers to help with this, because it's an accident waiting to happen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
