Low Contrast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The contrast between shadows is too dark. I adjusterd all the settings to brighten the picture but it seems that a lot of scenes are so dark that you cannot see what is in the shadows or backgrounds of some pictures. I also purchased the QLED Q8F 43 inch for our bedroom. The contrast is great on it. If I coud repurchase, it would be the QLED for our living room like the one we previously had. Lightening ruined both our televisions.

We appreciate your input on the picture quality of Samsung’s S85F TV. If the image isn’t meeting your expectations, there are several adjustments you can make to improve your viewing experience.

First, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware, as updates may include important picture quality enhancements. Go to: Home > Left directional button > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

Then, select a Picture Mode that best fits your environment: Home > Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1. Standard – Default mode for general viewing
2. Dynamic – Brighter and clearer in well-lit rooms
3. Eco – Optimized for energy saving
4. Movie – Best for watching in dark environments
5. Filmmaker Mode – Preserves content exactly as intended by creators

You can also enhance your experience by enabling AI Mode, which automatically adjusts picture and sound based on your surroundings and usage patterns: Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > AI Mode Settings > AI Mode

Hello,

Thank you for your review. You can customize what your TV does at startup by adjusting the Start Screen Options.

To do this, navigate to: Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > Start Screen Option and choose from the following:
1. Start with Smart Hub Home – Automatically launches Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. You can enable or disable this option based on your preference.
2. Autorun Multi View Casting – If you cast YouTube content from your mobile device, the TV will automatically display the content using Multi View.
3. Autorun Multi View Mirroring – When you screen mirror your mobile device, Multi View will automatically open to show your device’s screen.
