Night vision is terrible

The set up was relatively easy, despite there was no instructions included in the box. I still am not able to set up the motion recording properly or play it back if it has recorded something. During the day the picture quality is very clear, but the night vision is terrible and completely useless. Which is mostly what we wanted it for, because usually mischief will happen at night. So we are very disappointed with these expensive cameras that really do not meet the standards that we read online.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All the features work pretty well, the night vision seems to attract moths and bats and the distance seems to be a line of sight not more than about 300 ft but so far everything worked well enough for me to catch my first unwelcome visitor that I wouldn't have known about without the cameras.
