Great system!

We bought this a year ago for my husband's gallery. He is a technophobe and refused to install it. I was intimidated as well. Then we found that if was not necessary for the gallery, but I wanted it as a cat cam :)
The system really is plug and play. I plugged in one camera (not using both right now), popped the memory card in, and then plugged in the monitor. Instant clear picture! I then downloaded the manual from the website and spent about an hour reading it and exploring the features. The manual offers super clear, easy to follow instructions. Within that hour I had figured out how to set today's date and time, how to record with motion activation or at specific days/times of day, alarm (if a cat, or anyone), walks in front of it, automatic reuse of storage area when tape is full, and how to review and delete recordings.
It is super user-friendly, and I'm extremely happy I finally got the guts to install it. I should have done this a year ago :)

Easy Set Up

I just plugged in the Cameras and monitor and had good picture quality and outdoor coverage I wanted. I installed the system myself and benefited from having ready access to power source.. No fooling with Wifi. I will slowly learn the additional features of the system at my own pace. My wife and I are very pleased with the Defender camera coverage and quality of video. We can see our front porch and front door area completely.

Very Easy To Work

Just as just about everyone says in the review - easy to set-up and start watching right away. No cumbersome details to deal with like other systems. Audio is great, loud and clear. The view single or multi-camera is easy to go back and forth with. We're using it as security for our house and to watch our dogs in the back yard. Even at night - still clear and visible.

Purchase the system a few weeks ago for my home. It was simple and easy to install, also self explanatory Great picture and sound quality. I ordered two more additional cameras and pairing was simple. A small investment for the extra security.

I wanted something to keep a eye on the front door area and also to keep a eye on the dog`s when they are out back. This is perfect. A true plug and play. The soft red glow of the LED`s at night around the lens is comforting to my surprise. If a intruder see`s this lite....it`s to late. It starts recording before they are in about 4 sec. in view. I could go on....

Keeps stating "Out Of Range"

This is an updated comment. Had the Phoenix M2 for 16 months, it is easy to set-up, has a great picture, many great features, and good customer support. However, I have found that there is a problem with the unit being used in a cold environment. Eventually ( a week or two) the "Out Of Range" notice pops up frequently and there is no picture until it resets itself, eventually the picture never comes back. I purchased another camera, set it up and I once again had a picture. After leaving the original camera in the house for several days, I tried using it to see if it would work and it did. I would suggest that if you are going to purchase the system, and you live in a cold climate, you should purchase the system that comes with two cameras so you will have a spare camera to change out when required.

WITH IT BECAUSE I WANTED A SYSTEM TO WATCH MY CAR AND THE FRONT DOOR .I LOVE IT AND I AM GOING TO BUY A THIRD CAMERA FOR THE FRONT YARD I GOT PROBLEM WITH THE SECOND CAMERA I CALLED
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR HELP THEY ARE EXCELLENT FOR HELPING ME TO BE FIXED EVEN AFTER WARRANTEE EXPIRED .
