I was super excited for this after reading all the reviews. However what I found is that it only works at about an 70% effectiveness here in East TN. It definitely helps BUT don’t expect this to solve all you mosquito problems.

We have a major problem with mosquitos in our yard. I purchased this after reading several reviews and decided to take a chance. It actually works. It is important to follow the instructions and turn it on in the area you are going to use it for 15 minutes before you remain outside.

Solid improvements to an already great product

I've been using and loving Thermacell products for quite some time now, including some of the older rechargeable units. The EL55 works exactly the same and uses the same cartridges, but incorporates numerous improvements. Most notably, is significantly improved battery life with the lamp off and of course the incorporation of a gentle glowing lamp. I also like the change to a USB-C charge connectorover the antiquated micro on the previous gen. These things work amazingly well and they keep getting better.

Good Product - Two Suggestions to make it Great

It works great. Two suggestions for improvement:
1). Add a battery level indicator on the front panel. Similar to the cell phone signal strength indicator.
2). Add a resettable run time counter. This would make it easier to judge remaining repellent at a glance

i have two units. I've purchased numerous refills of the 36 & 40 hour. none of the refills have lasted over 15 to 20 hours. at that rate cost of product is too expensive.

Used once for about an hour. Cartridge leaked out the bottom. Refills are expensive enough without having it wasted
