Gorgeous Desk!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this desk to my 13-year-old granddaughter. It's simple but effective. When I saw how it lit up her room and just brought an elegance to her room, I decided right away I wanted one too. She uses her desk to do several different things. It's perfect for holding her laptop and her schoolbooks while working on her homework. Because it offers 2 shelves, she can store her laptop on one of the shelves so she can clear the top of her desk to apply her makeup. It really works well as a multipurpose tool for her. I have seen her write in her journal using her desk and she did mention she just feels so much more mature having a desk to do activities at, rather than on her bed. The base is made of metal. It feels of good quality, nice and stable. The top is engineered wood, rather than solid wood, but that's perfectly fine with us. I still urge her to use a coaster if she's going to have a drink at her desk. Putting the desk together was no trouble at all. It did take me about 45 minutes to assemble, but I was able to follow the instructions and it came with everything I needed. I thought that was quite handy! I found it best to assemble in her bedroom, so we didn't have to carry it any further then necessary. It looks just like the picture advertised and I know she will be able to use it for years to come. Overall, I am very pleased with this desk, and I can't wait to get mine!

The desk is a great size, not too large or small measuring 47.25 x 23.5 x 29.5 inches. This desk has really elevated the look of my home office space. I chose to pair this desk with a white upholstered faux leather office desk chair. The look is quite chic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Martha Stewart Beckett Trestle Desk is made in white and has the look of wood grain. There are 2 shelves to one side of the desk under the desktop. Very well made, easy to assemble and all hardware and tools to assemble are included in the packaging. Easy to put together, only takes one person to assemble. Perfect size for a personal desk or for students. Instructions come in Spanish, French and English.
