New monitor, no sound

Just bought less than 12 hours ago from “third party retailer” monitor has no sound unless plugged into our sound bar. Thought monitor could turn on when turning on console but I guess not? Kinda disappointed in Samsung and that says a lot since I convinced my man to spend the extra money for it cause Ive always been a Samsung fan. Is it a manufacturing issue? How do I get a new one? Should i just return it?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience with connecting your game console. Most current gaming systems connect via HDMI, which provides the best picture and sound. If you’re using a classic console that relies on component connections, you’ll need a component-to-HDMI adapter, as most 2025 Samsung Monitors do not support component inputs natively.
To connect a console, try the following steps:
1. Make sure both your Monitor and video game system are turned off.
2. Connect the HDMI cable from your game system’s HDMI Out port to one of the HDMI In ports on your Samsung Monitor.
3. Turn on both the Monitor and the game console. The Monitor may automatically detect the device and switch to the correct input.
o If not, press the Source button on your remote or navigate to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Sources
4. You can also rename the HDMI input for easier access by going to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Connection Guide > Video Device > Game Console
5. For more guidance on setting up your console, launch the Connection Guide and follow the prompts: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Connection Guide > Video Device > Game Console
If you experience any issues, you can run HDMI Troubleshooting to check the connection between your HDMI cable and game console: Connected Devices > Connection Guide > Video Device > HDMI Troubleshooting

Overall an absolutely amazing monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally use this monitor as my second monitor and usually curved screens have a “sweet spot” in order to look good but this monitor looks amazing no matter where i adjust it. I usually watch youtube or sports gaming and it just looks stunning even for the specs

Monitor review and my feelings on it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off the speakers are absolutely bad. It is so whisper quiet and that was at max volume. The monitor I do use as speakers are louder at 20 compared to this monitor at 100. Otherwise at this point the monitor looks pretty good. Brightness I great and resolution isn't that bad. For the price it's great for what it is and exactly what I expected.
