Decent enough TV, but there's room for improvement

To start off, I should say, I'd give it .25 or .5 more stars. But it's not possible so I'll give it a solid 4. Not quite a 5 star product.
I bought this in October 2024, so I've had time to completely get the feel for it. I came from an old Sony TV (not a smart TV) and I used a Roku device for streaming. I do prefer the layout of the Roku set up over this Samsung Smart TV. However, I do appreciate only having to use one remote for everything.
I think having an option to increase the font size and the app tiles would be extremely beneficial. Anyone with vision problems will absolutely struggle with using this TV. Even the remote buttons are on the small side. Yes, there is an option to use a voice command, but if you're not able to see very well, your not going to be able to find the mic button to start with. The home screen could use a bit of an adjustment as well. It's too cluttered or busy.
The sound and graphics are fantastic. It's probably even the reason why I didn't end up returning it. Once you're in an app (ex. Hulu, Netflix, Prime, etc) the programs are gorgeous. Great quality playback.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A pleasant surprise
on March 9, 2025

I bought this TV about 3 months ago to replace the second of two Vizio TVs I had in my bedroom (they were awful, don't recommend those). But I'm pleasantly surprised by the Samsung. Works flawlessly and even has a built-in tile for my local cable company provider which makes it so easy to watch, record into my 'library', and view on-demand content from them. When the other Vizio in my home fails I will be replacing it with a Samsung.

Got the best, and got it on sale

This tv is awesome. It was a Christmas gift to me for me. Every channel is built in. It shows clear, colors jump out of the screen, sound is excellent! The only thing I'm having trouble with is watching a dark movie (like scenes at night) sometimes the background gets do dark, it looks black and you can't see anything in the background, but I'm sure that has to do with some setting i haven't done correctly. I love this tv though. Samsung is the best. I got a 55".

Ranscabinets,
Thank you for purchasing the DU6900 TV and for sharing your feedback regarding screen reflection. The light conditions of each room environment are different. For optimal glare control, we recommend positioning the TV to minimize incident light falling on the screen or consulting a professional installer.
Anti-reflection, designed to minimize ambient light reflection, is a feature in our Q70C Series TV and higher.

Disappointed with product

Bought tv Dec. 2025. After 30 days, intermittent trouble with sound. Speaker pops, crackles without warning. Tv not reading HDMI hookup to gaming device, even when system is on. Very disappointed.

Bill,
If you are hearing a loud static noise, it could be caused by electrical feedback. I recommend the following:
1) Arranging the cables and making sure the TV has good ventilation will keep it quiet. 2) Check the cables. Make sure all cables are connected firmly to the proper, color-coded inputs on the TV and on the external devices. 3) Replace the audio connection cable, even if it is an HDMI or RF coaxial cable. Then test again to see if the issue still occurs. 4) Try connecting a different external device to the same input on the TV.
Connect a different device to the same input on the TV using the same connection cables.
For example, if a cable box is connected using the component connections, try connecting a DVD player to the same input with the same cables.
If there is no buzzing, crackling, or humming with the second external device connected, the original device (the cable box in this example) is the source of the noise.
To troubleshoot your HDMI connection, please try the following:
1) Power off all HDMI devices connected to the TV 2) Disconnect all HDMI cables from the TV 3) Power off and unplug the TV's power cord from the wall outlet 4) Press and hold the TV power button for 30 seconds 5) Reconnect HDMI cables back to the HDMI ports on the TV 6) Replug the TV's power cord back into the wall outlet and check the TV.

Jt1000,
We appreciate your feedback on the Samsung DU6900 TV. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your Wi-Fi disconnecting from the TV.
First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. I recommend enabling auto-updates to ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update.
Next, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. For additional support resources, visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for:
