Simply put, Crystal UHD is basically entry-level LCD LED panels offered by Samsung. It is more of a marketing term, like what other manufacturers do such as LG with their NanoCell marketing phrase

Please know that most Streaming Apps have their own Settings for Closed Captioning. Go into each app and locate the settings icon to enable Closed Captioning.
To access all other Closed Captioning Settings, go to Settings > All Settings> General > Accessibility > Caption Settings.

Spectrum App not available

Poor Applications Inoperability, chatted with Samsung Expert and they were absolutely useless help - NO Spectrum App available. I have 7 other Samsung Smart TVs and this is the first that is a huge disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback on the DU6900 TV. Please know the Spectrum app is available for download in the built-in app store.
To download new apps, go to Home> Apps> Search> and search for the Spectrum app. From there, you can download the app and sign into your account.
