It ok I guess.

Its ok. The display is the better feature, not great, just good, but the tv overall is just ok. I enjoy the slimness, but I wish I had gone with something else for my living room. Its clunky to navigate. There's too much going on on the menus. The volume button on the remote I don't like. Its slow to start. I don't think I will go with a samsung again unfortunately. I have always purchased Magnavox in the past and this was my first Samsung. Sadly I think it will be my last. I was excited to try one, and just ended up disappointed. We all have Samsungs in our home and all have the same troubles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Glare and resolution

It's ok. The resolution is not the best. Even with the brightness set at high, the pictures still appear dark and the glare of any reflection makes it less enjoyable.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the DU6900 TV’s picture quality. If the image is too dim, try adjusting Picture Mode, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.

Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings.

You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

Great tv overall. The display is very nice. All the apps are good and makes it easy to watch all the shows. Got rid of Roku bc of the apps.

Unfortunate Scary, Loud Knocking Sound.

You make a beautiful TV. The only problem I have with my television is that once in awhile the sound will make a loud popping noise. It’s scary and very loud. It has happened about 3 times since I’ve had the TV. The first time I called Samsung. When I turn it off and back on, it seems to solve the problem then, until the next time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
