FAST! SMOOTH! REFINED!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is so much faster than my s24 plus. I didn't think I would notice a difference, but it is faster and smoother.
The Now Brief is a really cool feature. It gives you updates 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening).
It was worth the upgrade with the large trade in value. Also, I am loving one ui 7, it is way better than the beta version on the s24.
I would recommend the upgrade as the difference is very noticeable.

Amazing, Fast, User Friendly, HIGH Resolution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was due for an upgrade, and I've always enjoyed the Samsung Ecosystem. I traded in my S22 for a S25+ and I can say this phone is easily 3x faster than my old one, even on power saving mode. The battery lasts all day and then some. I'm still getting used to the Now Brief though, I feel that is geared more towards business meetings and such. Galaxy unpacked really hyped up the new AI. I enjoy it more than the Google Assistant, though it's still a work in progress

The ram, battery, screen, exterior quality, camera quality. All what I was looking for in a new phone. I got the s25 instead of s24 bc at the time it was basically the same and now I get the all new ai functions free with the phone (as of February 2025. Love it so far. (1 week of use)

Let's start with what this isn't: in no way is it an upgrade from its predecessor. It isn't even an upgrade from its predecessor's predecessor.
In it at least one way, it's a massive downgrade. For some reason the ability to customize individual app notification sounds has been removed from the OS. If the apps themselves had this feature built in this wouldn't be an issue, but few of them do. As a result, the default system notification sound is the notification sound for everything. Want to make sure the app that tells you when your prescription is ready at the pharmacy sounds different from the one that tells you your laundry is done, because some things are more important than others? You can't. Everything sounds the same.
Making matters worse, when I transferred the settings from my old phone, all of my custom notification sounds were removed. Not replaced with the system notification sound, removed entirely. Replaced with silence. Every single app I set up a custom notification sound for now has no notification sound.

I don't know if this was something Google decided to do with Android 15, or if it's something Samsung decided to do with One UI. If Samsung did it and they don't fix it, this is my last Samsung phone, ever. If Google did it, then I'm done with android. This is an enormous step backward in usability, and I can't believe somebody thought it was a good idea.
Don't buy this phone. In fact, it's probably best not to buy any phone with One UI 7 or Android 15. Find a nice used phone or an older model instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
