Disappointed. The older phones are better, the s25 screen and also the s25 camera and also the s25 speakers are all a downgrade from my old s10e even though s10e is from 2020. The s10e has a 12mp rear camera but the s10e is still able to capture moving kids, moving pets or scenery from the window of a moving car more easily and without a blur, and s10e doesn't have aggressive over processing, so I can blow those s10e pictures up to 8x10 size for display in my home with no problem. The s25 phone has trouble with sunlight trickling through a window making it a bright stark streak where my old s10e was able to still capture the subject no problem and left the sunlight streak off to the side just as seen through the human eye. It's like art. The s25 ai or photo processing doesn't know what to do with certain normal everyday occurrences like a small streao of sunlight, or light from a pendant light overhead. This is all with the post processing setting turned to minimize since turning it completely off isn't an option. I don't want to open camera and mess with settings or apps to get a photo I want to open and snap a photo quickly and easily and move on with no editing. I am able to do this easily with my s10e and it makes a quality photo. The 5g drains too fast, vs 4g and there's no way to force "4g only" with my carrier. So I am returning and will be using my trusted s10e while looking for something else. I feel let down by Samsung. No SD card slot, no headphone jack, no plug, no innovation. Only moving backwards. Samsung is trying to be too much like the biggest main us comp. and not leaning enough into what makes it an android.

Terrible downgrade

Terrible downgrade from my S10e I had a Samsung s10e which for anyone who had one is the best phone EVER, but it's not satellite capable so I had to get a new phone. I picked the Samsung S25 because it was the closest in size. Well I hate it. First the s20e was all soft edges and smooth lines like Zen Garden, this thing is like an anorexic brick. You can tell Samsung thought those other guys made a better phone because now Samsung phones look just like other phones, if I wanted an the other phone I would have bought one. The screen is so slippery it is hard to drop and drag and looks super fragile. And I had it plugged in all night, yes with Samsung approved equipment, and it only got up to 79%. It is only 3 days old and after typing just this review it is down to 70%. I read online that show charging is a big problem. The bottom camera lens is right where my finger likes to be so it is full of finger prints already. All in all not an upgrade from my last phone. I am going to be looking at other phones. I wish my S10e were satellite compatible because I would have kept it
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Happy with forced change

After almost 4 years, my Note 20 started giving warnings that it was ready to break up (suspiciously after an upgrade). I greatly enjoy my S25. It continues with the features of my Note 20 (minus the pen) and goes further. My favorite is the camera feature. As a teacher, I'm able to capture information from PDs, PLCs and various other meetings without having to write notes. I'm also able to easily get to my docs. Then I love the ease of sending messages to my fellow teachers with not just your regular text but also pics, voice messages and videos. However the organization in my messages is not as user friendly as in the past. The battery life is great but the charge feature is a little wonky. Sometimes it will initially recognize my charger and then a few minutes later not. This is concerning since I use a Samsung charger. I loved the ease in transitioning my apps and preferences to the new phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New phone

I bought the S25 plus 256 GB. Battery power is fair. Down to 60 percent range at end of day and that is with not playing games. Still learning the phone. It seems they are geared towards social media and I am not a big user of social media. Trying to find ways to clear some of the "stuff". It is faster than my S21. And more storage. I got that when they first came out so it was a bit old and the screen went black a couple of times so I decided it was time for a new one and went with the S25 plus. Have only had it two weeks. So far I seem to like it.
