This my 2nd inverter charger in 3yrs that has failed. This one lasted just over 2yrs so now I am out of WA and out of luck. Renogy makes junk gear.

Poor experience

Had to return two of these. First was DOA and the second lasted about four months. Dealing with Renogy support was much more effort than installing and uninstalling these and I should have just saved myself the trouble and gone with another vendor.

Flawed engineering

This is a deeply flawed product.
- Standby current at 12V is about 600mA, this will drain any battery in no time
- The switch toggles BOTH charge and inverter. There is no way to automatically charge when plugged into shore power.
- Default LiPo charge program charges all the way up to 14.7V (BAD, all LiPo batteries, Renogy included, want 14.4V).
- LiPo charge program turns off completely when reaching 14.4V. Which means even when plugged into shore power the coach will cycle the battery up-and-down constantly, and there is no way to keep it topped off.
- The +12V terminal and the 110V terminals are very close together under the same cover. This means the bare 110V ground wires are dangling right around the +12V terminal, a massive short waiting to happen.
- This rather expensive product does not integrate at all with the Renogy RS485 or bluetooth systems.

I purchased this Renogy Inverter/Charger for my popup camper about a month ago. It's much larger than you'd think based on the photos. I had just enough space to put it under the dining seat where my old inverter was. Easy hookup and works perfectly. I've got it connected to two Renogy 100AH Batteries. Keeps me topped off when plugged into shore power.

Great for the warranty period then breaks

Bought it 2 years ago, ran well for 1 year, then it started reading battery voltages wrong and would shut off when batteries were below 90% full. Do not buy

Installed in time to use on our 2 week road trip. Worked perfectly running everything/charging all our devices, and even would run our dometic penguin ii a/c. Installation was straight forward, but does take time to wire everything together.
