Great for the warranty period then breaks

Bought it 2 years ago, ran well for 1 year, then it started reading battery voltages wrong and would shut off when batteries were below 90% full. Do not buy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product, no remote display.

I bought the 2000w inverter charge controller and got it all installed.
There is NO remote display other than the bluetooth, so don't let anybody tell you otherwise. This took a week to resolve after purchasing and not installing the remote display within the window.
Right in the main breaker panel disconnected the 30 amp input on my Airstream Land Yacht 30NS motorhome and ran directly into this inverter then from the inverter back down to the the panel.
I have two big weird 160 amp hour 12v batteries 4' away with 2 gauge wire (320 amp hours at 12V).
After getting it all hooked up everything just worked. Every outlet, the microwave, fridge, everything; and this INCLUDES the 13,500 BTU 2005 air conditioner with no soft-start thingy installed.
Power transfer is instant (you can't hear the A/C change pitch at all when you unplug the shore power), its just magic.
Make sure you unplug your stock 120v -> 12v charger (otherwise it will use power, waste 20%, and put it back in).
My unit was apparently configured with very low battery charging (Shore power and generator power to DC battery charging) so I cranked that up to 65 amps and we are good to go!
The back cover on this unit is really difficult to work with; especially with 10 gauge romex like you are supposed to use for 30 amp.

This inverter is absolutely awesome!

With a 65a smart converter, built in transfer relay, 2kw pure wave output 6kw surge, fully programmable, custom battery support, power saver and remote generator functions. This system produces stronger cleaner power then I see anywhere! I wanted to turn my voltage down and 5 seconds later my system was running more efficiently. My fridge will run cycling in power saver mode. I can balance charge between solar and generator. I’ve even reconditioned my batteries, improving their charge capacity and acceptance. I live off grid, and rely on my power equipment to work properly full time. I need a strong converter to quickly charge my batteries from a generator and maintain them when plugged up, strong stable power to run high amp devices, and an adaptive system to easily manage it all through different conditions. This inverter delivers all of that in one solid platform.

Easy to install and works consistently in the background. The fan is not noisy in our RV either.

Works Ok

But needs more room for wire connections. Can only use a certain size screw driver.
I also purchased the 40 amp MPPT charge controller, same issue with wiring connections and the display and programing is Very difficult read and do... even with a Magnifying glass! Needs improvements on both. Both work fine when finally setup.

Delivery was rapid, within a few days, no problems.
The unit is heavy and large, but that is expected. It just is a bit difficult to get into place.
While the purpose of each connection is clear, the manual lacks explicit instructions for connections and adequate illustrations; I would say that finding and viewing videos is necessary to confirm correct procedures even if you know what is what. Do it before purchase, so you know what you are getting into.
There is an on/off switch on the unit and another on the wired remote panel. It is not clear from the instructions what the remote one does depending on the state of the one on the unit, or indeed what you would want a wired remote for in the first place.
You have to remove one end panel in order to install the connections. This is not noted in the instructions either. The wire length is too short to the switch that is already installed in the end panel, meaning that it is very easy to pull the switch wires out accidentally when removing the panel to install the other connections. Since the screws to the ports of the switch connection are blocked by the AC connection, that means that the connector port much be temporarily removed from the inner end panel in order to reinstall the switch connection. This is clearly not intended to be a user-performed procedure and probably voids the warranty, but there is nothing else to do. The wire length from the inner end panel to the switch should be doubled to avoid this problem.
The manual has extensive tables for what the LCD display shows, not so much on exactly what the settings choices mean. For example, there are two "gel battery" settings, but no advice in the manual on which is appropriate for your situation. You can make several choices of charging voltage and such, but there is no advice on what choices are right for your system. Other sources must be consulted.
Safety note, though like many safety notes it should be obvious with a little thought: The on/off switch of the unit has no effect on the considerable charge that the batteries have when charged. They are always live! As are the connections to the unit when the batteries are connected. Even a fully discharged or new uncharged battery has considerable capacitance and potential to shock or burn; CAUTION.
There is no instruction regarding making ground connections. When I contacted the company, at first the rep declined to provide instruction for liability reasons. Their advice is to consult a qualified electrician, which is fair.
I just wanted to know if the unit itself made a ground connection internally. A little back and forth elicited a statement that it would be acceptable to ground the negative battery terminal to the unit case and use that as the system ground; however such a connection is not made internally; the battery connections float, relative to the unit case, by default. I agree that a qualified electrician should be used especially if you are not sure what you are doing.
There is no specific advice on installing a fuse between the battery and the unit. I used a 200 amp fuse from WindyNation on the positive battery cable. I used 1/0 AWG cables, which is thicker than Renogy carries, but seemed to be indicated by the expected DC current for a maximum 2000 Watt AC load.
The manual notes that the fan runs "1 minute every thirty minutes". It actually runs more often than that, especially when there is an AC load under battery power. This is not a problem, but the statement the manual makes is wrong. Contrary to the statement as well, I noticed the fan ran longer than 1 minute when first turned on (and the batteries were charging). Again not a problem, but it makes me question the accuracy of the manual. The fan makes noticeable noise, but it is not annoyingly loud.
The unit performs as expected. It charged the two new gel batteries quickly and completely. It provides adequate and smooth AC power from battery power and also pass-through from shore power. I am well satisfied with it despite the specific criticisms above.

Installed in time to use on our 2 week road trip. Worked perfectly running everything/charging all our devices, and even would run our dometic penguin ii a/c. Installation was straight forward, but does take time to wire everything together.

Poor experience

Had to return two of these. First was DOA and the second lasted about four months. Dealing with Renogy support was much more effort than installing and uninstalling these and I should have just saved myself the trouble and gone with another vendor.
