The Renogy MC4 In-Line Fuse and Holder works like a charm. The inline fuse just snaps in place on the positive line. I also like the ability to quickly disconnect it by pushing in the little tabs if needed. To replace the fuse, just pull and twist the holder apart. Fuses are important to add to the wires and this one works well, so I highly recommend it.

This is my second purchase of solar panels.
Very dependable.
The first one I bought rode in the back seat of my truck for almost 160 miles of washboards , washouts and rocks. Wired up the panel and it has been working as expected since Oct 2018.

The primary advantage is that it saves two butt splices at the in-line fuse. I also assume that the factory spices are more efficient than my crimped spices in the field, so more power to the battery.
Additionally, it’s waterproof so I can put it in an exposed position as opposed to a weather protected position. This is a huge advantage in my situation because it facilitates maintenance at a more accessible location.
All in all, very pleased with the product.

The fuse holder is well made but I find it difficult to unplug it from the connector cables. The first time trying, the fuse holder came apart, exposing the hefty looking fuse. The other MC4 connectors from Renogy have been great. Hoping this one loosens up a bit.
