Nice foldable solar panel!

This is a great, somewhat portable, solar cell. I’ve compared its output to several other panels I own and it is very efficient. I almost always get a higher watt output in identical sunlight and the foldability makes it great for an RV or camper. Don’t confuse this panel with a lightweight, foldable one. It’s a legit PV panel and is pretty heavy. It folds into a manageable shape, has a handle and cool case to store your cables as well. I’m very happy with it.

Currently the Best Foldable Hard Panel

I did a lot of research before I chose this one. In fact, I liked it so much I bought six. I think they're currently the best hard solar panel suitcase for the money. They come with a very nice hard zippered cover and the adjustable brace design is very sturdy. However there's room for improvement. First of all these panels are pretty heavy at about 38 lbs each. Surely there must be a way to lighten them up to save on materials and manufacturing cost (and don't call me Shirly). Secondly it would be nice if the controller had a built-in USB port so a small device could be charged without wiring up the rig. Otherwise there is no better deal out there for a 200w hard solar panel suitcase. Just make sure to tighten all the nuts and bolts that shake loose during shipping.

It seems to be a very good product. I am concerned about the support legs they seem very flimsy. I also don’t like the alligator clips and want to wire directly to the battery with another quick connector .I wish the connection was longer 10 feet is not long enough I will definitely be getting an extension cord . I think overall it is a good value.

Ordered the suitcase to charge my two Renogy LiPO 100W batteries. Panels are easy to adjust for optimal orientation to the Sun throughout the day. Panels produced +12.4 watts during the optimal daylight hours with the integrated solar charger in the Colorado August days.

Does not like any kind of shade
on August 8, 2023

I purchased this because I thought it was for camping. I found out that it is not suitable for camping and per the manufacturer was made to be "mounted where there is no shade" I found out from the manufacturer that it is normal for this panel to go from putting out 9.2 amps to .9 amps if 10% of the panel is in shade. I was told I purchased the wrong kind of panel. I needed a panel that has bypass diodes in it so it will keep putting out if part of the panel gets in shade. This panel does not have bypass diodes. other than that it works well if there is a place where you camping where there are no tree branches around. One very small branch will shut this panel down.

Used quite a few times

Voltage ranges from 13 to 15 volts, Amps up to 18, I got the extension cables as well, because at times the sun is that far away:) it is easy to set up and lighter than my Zamp Panel. We boondock often and it has kept us from using a ginny!

Appears solid and functional so far. Have not had it off grid yet. Cable wires are kind of stiff and difficult to position when plugged in to my solar ready trailer. Easy to use super fast to charge when placed in full son.

Cool 'case

I haven't had enough time to spend with this suitcase. However, I installed the Voyager controller in a compartment on my class A motorhome. I bought the temperature sensor and two 40-foot cables to extend the suitcase out from under the shade. Everything is working great. A trip to the SW this winter will allow us to use the suitcase to keep our batteries up to snuff.
One thing I confirmed with Renogy is the 20A Voyager charge controller does not go to sleep if the controller is kept connected to the batteries (no panels connected.) I'll have to put a switch in the positive line to turn the power off when I'm not using the suitcase.
Thanks, Renogy. Things look great.
