Received it and did the inventory. Everything looked good. Took me about 2 1/2 days to completely install. I made sure I sent slow and understood all of the instructions. Easy to install and worked great the first time I turned it on. Oh yea it was on a 40 ft. Motorhome.
Yeah, you can "get away with" not having this tool but why? You might have some logical excuse if the tool was expensive. In this case there is no excuse.
Solar panels were exactly as described in data sheets. Power output is per spec. 4x100W panels on a short wheelbase Sprinter is a bit challenging but was do-able.
As I clicked the extension cord into the existing line I remembered what a friend told me. She said it was almost impossible to get the linkage apart and she was right. I immediately ordered the tool which I did need to get the cords apart. It worked as hoped and expected. Just a good one to have on hand.
