Item works fine but do not appreciate receiving a used item for full price. Inside box end was ripped open also plastic bag. There was black hair on the wand. Will probably not purchase again.
I like the barrel. It is perfect for thin fragile hair. However, the revolving cord is horrible!! All the new and recent cords on Conair curling irons are cheap and do not revolve as they should, therefore causing them to tangle. I have tried putting oil on it in that area, but I am still having issues. I wish Conair would go back to the cords the used to have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wanted to love it...

I bought this iron a couple months ago and thought it was just what I needed when I opened it. The size was perfect for the small ringlets I wanted. It was easy to twist and manipulate without snagging. it also looks nice. It works well on my synthetic wigs and thinner human hair wigs, leaving smooth, tight ringlets. On my higher density human hair wigs and my daughter’s kinky 4B/4C hair, the curling iron doesn’t seem to get hot enough to produce a curl with lasting hold, unless I part the hot in extremely small sections and hold the iron in the hair for a really long time. I just felt it took too much time and effort on thicker hair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well, but there’s an annoying design flaw

Bought this curling iron to help curl my coarse grey short hair. I’ve been generally pleased — size is perfect, heats quickly, good cord length. There’s an inherent design flaw though. The temperature setting dial hits on the barrel right where your thumb normally rests if you use your index finger to operate the clip. The issue is the same, though less common, if you operate the clip with your thumb and your index finger rests at the dial. It doesn’t prevent the iron from working, just creates the annoyance of having to stop and reset the temperature dial.

Design flaws. On off switch on barrel where you place thumb while styling resulting in shutting off while styling continually having to turn back on. Swivel cord format turn well and poor clearance on resting stand. Never buy this product again. I’ll admit I typically don’t write reviews but when really good or really bad I will. Don’t buy this curling iron but I can say I am happy with all my other Conair products.
