Beautiful upgrade from previous model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this after an earlier version failed after 2 1/2 years; I was advised that attempting repair was "not worth the expense". I had to fit my existing built in cabinet space, so stuck with this model, fingers crossed. I've never had a microwave fail before. I do like the new version a lot. It's all black face and improved controls are more attractive. It has a door lock feature that doesn't allow a child to open the door when heating is complete; that can be turned off, but it has been easy to adjust to. It's a very powerful oven, so that needs to be taken into account when cooking. My only complaint at this point (had it 2 weeks), is that the base was changed so that I could not use my existing Frigidaire installation based the same way. Already dismayed at replacing my unit after such a short time, I simply screwed the brackets in place on the base and set the microwave on top of them. It has been stable. The size was also reduced by 1/4", so the frame was a bit too large, with a 1/8" gap all around, but not noticeable. I have to say I do resent companies changing such features in an apparent attempt to require the purchase of the overpriced (IMO) installation kit.

Frigidaire professional microwave

I love it, the sensor cooking features ensure that I never over cook my food. I add it childproof with its locking door feature. The keypad is easy to see and read, plus not confusing I think everyone in the house will immediately love it.

Replaced my Frigidaire microwave after 10 years of service with new Frigidaire model

My 10 year old Frigidaire microwave took its last breath exactly 10 years to the day I installed it. It was the best I have ever had. It had all the great processes you could want. I purchased a new tsame size Frigidaire and it installed perfectly in the space above my oven. Looks great and has the same processes I had before and a few improvements also. My only concerns are it is more plastic than the other and even with 3 options to cook packaged popcorn. The older one cooked all the kernels fully and we were very happy with that. The new one however leaves about 10-15% less kernels fully fluffed.

Great Microwave!
