I thought it was going to be good but I am surprised how good it is. It never misses a beat. Software is easy to use and the facial recognition is amazing. The only problem is that now it is so good I want to install them on all my external doors. I am looking forward to a future when I can install something like this on my external gate. I don't think that exists yet.

High tech lock with many features

I’ve gone through a lot of different smart locks over the years, including August and several others, and none have been as smooth as Lockly. The app is hands down the easiest to navigate no confusing menus or clunky setup and it connects reliably every time. The lock itself feels solid, works great whether I’m home or away, and gives me confidence that everything is secure. Compared to the others I’ve used, this one is by far the most seamless experience.

Bought this not too long ago. I really like it. The facial recognition is so useful. It is very reliable and it is really nice not having to worry about inserting a key when carrying things into the house. It’s also great that you can unlock/lock your door using the app on your phone. You can also give temporary access to someone if you need them to be able to access your house while you are away. Overall, it’s a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. I can’t see myself going back to a regular lock again after experiencing this one.

Real time notification issue

The door lock is supposed to send a real-time notification of any door lock event (locked/unlocked). There is a bug in the app, and the notification doesn't work properly (sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't work). Also, the log is not up to date. Latest events are not recorded in the log. I have tried everything to troubleshoot this issue.I have updated the firmware, reset the door lock, I have even tried a different device to make sure it's not my device, but it did not work. The issue is in the application itself (not the door lock). There seems to be a bug in the app. I have ended up returning the door lock and bought a different brand (not lockly) the different brand works very well and no issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So great, I bought two more!

I bought one a could of months ago and liked it so much I purchased two more for the other doors in my house. The installation kit is great because they include everything you might need except for the tools.
I really like the rechargable battery system that last they months or more between charges.
I really recommend this product.
