Great for extra storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this overhead GearLoft and it is very well built. My wife does not like getting into the attic for christmas decorations. Se we thought this would be a good addition to our garage. So far it is working out and it keeps my wife happy.

This was one of the needs to improve garage storage. Love it. It definitely takes two plus people to perform the installation and specific steps but its absolutely worth the effort.

The storage rack is top quality and goes together quite easily. Installing can be a little tricky as my garage has drywall and is painted and finished. Finding studs and understanding spacing is tricky. Two of the anchors did break as I had to move positions from where I originally thought I could install. The last step of lifting the rack into position to secure to the ceiling brackets really requires 3 people.

Needs better instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good product, however it should have more detailed construction instructions and additional nuts and bolts to secure sections. better hanging instructions and a template for placing hangars in ceiling would be helpful also. Really takes 4 people to hang.

This rack worked out better than I had expected. It is very strong and sturdy once assembled. Would recommend installing the bottom sections in two parts if able. It was a lot to manhandle for my wife and I. Even then it wasn’t too bad. Only down side is I wish gladiator had accessories for suspending lumber or paddle boards from the bottom. Some sort of hooks would be nice that didn’t flop around. If they make them I haven’t found them yet. All in all this thing will definitely help you organize your camping gear, Christmas items, and/or winter stuff.
