Another great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a month, this product is just what I have come to expect from Gladiator. The thing I most like is that it allows me to take space above my work desk and use it to maximize additional storage space. It obviously differs from other Gladiator products in that it allows you to use additional space that would otherwise get no use. One thing I recommend, during the installation process, is to invest in a premium stud finder. Due to the amount of weight this product can hold, it is imperative to assure it is anchored completely. If you don’t feel completely comfortable doing this, I would strongly recommend professional installation.
Overall, an outstanding product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Gearloft in a well packaged box. The finish is very nice and durable. Overall it went together well. In the instructions though, it shows putting a bolt and nut in 4 places with the shelves against each other. I was unable to get the bolts in the outside areas due to them both having nutplates welded on them. Other than that, it is a very strong and well built unit that should last a long time. Versatile with the height and mounting options.

Storage Rack Review - Thank You!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, thank you for my new storage rack unit. It fits very nicely in the rear of my garage bay. According to the parts page, I received all components with their respective quantities, but when assembling had an issue with connecting the racks. (refer to step 3). According to the diagram I was to use 4-socket head cap screws (F1) per 2-rack section. There are issues with the cap screw inserted in the mid section areas (hole only) and needs a rectangular nut (F4) to tighten (instructions are a bit unclear and do not state that rectangular nut (F4) is required). But if following this instruction with the remaining 2-rack system, I would not have had sufficient quantity to finish the entire install (insufficient quantity of F1) when attaching the upper corner and center supports to the ceiling brackets. So temporarily I removed 5 of the socket head screw caps (F1) from the mid section of the individual racks so that we could finish the install. It definitely is better if you have 3 people when assembling the rack system (2 people on either end while the other positions the supports). We also used bungee cords temporarily to aide in the install. Also, if drywall is in place and painted over, one must find the studs for proper install. If a folded guide was available that one could tape to the ceiling, it could have expedited the install (but understand due to the number of configurations). In the morning, I plan to visit my local hardware store to purchase additional cap screws (F1), install, then plan to reorganize my garage.

Solid Gladiator style solution for ceiling storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy to have this addition to my shop and many other Gladiator products! This overhead gearloft is built very well and was easy to assemble. This is great for freeing up floor space and really like that it is adjustable to accommodate taller items. The weight rating is so high that it handled all that I needed and still can add more stuff when I need to. Another great product from Gladiator!!!!!

We just had to figure out how to install with smaller size offered in manual since it was not fully outlined.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To begin with, this ceiling is VERY sturdy!! Solid as a rock! The assembly was very easy to follow, took a few minutes to assemble. Just a couple of bolts and nuts. The majority of time was spent on finding the rafters and planning where to anchor the ceiling minting strips. In my installation I had to contend with a garage door, ceiling lights and a rack, so the planning took much longer. I highly suggest two people to lift and install the rack, this is not a one man job. The anchor bolts are large, with an aggressive thread, once in they will not slip out. I already had another ceiling rack from another company installed, but this rack truly stands by Gladiator's name. It's is a superior product.
