Great storage space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the storage rack a couple of weeks ago and it works great for large but light things that aren’t used often, like Holliday decorations.
It was kind of flimsy trying to hang it. It wanted to fold in the middle.
But when the legs were locked in it made it rigid and sturdy.
I really like the height adjustability of the rack. No wasted space.
One thing I would like to see is a kit of added supports/legs, so if you wanted to use the rack in different configurations you could use all of the panels.
For a pack rat like me, it’s nice to have storage space that I wouldn’t have otherwise.

Tons of Space!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have lots of Gladiator products but have not used any of their overhead storage solutions before. I was able to install overhead gearloft in about two hours by myself. The longest part of installation is marking ceiling joists for hangers. I really like the powder coated finish, the thick gauge of the steel and the ability to hang in varying height increments. This is a great way to create extra space above garage doors, etc. I have used a competitor's overhead solution in the past and I would say this is slightly better quality for a similar price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My apologies for not reviewing sooner, but we've been so caught up with family things that I'm just now getting around to my responsibility.
This was, as I expected, another great storage idea from Gladiator. It's heavy-duty and was packed extremely well - no damage whatsoever. I was worried about the attach points when I read the loading capacity, but on unpacking, I see you've engineered that quite well. It's not completely loaded yet, but I have no doubt that it's going to support everything I can throw up there. I had some problems finding room for a 4X8 storage area on the ceiling of my barn since the loft above the work area isn't all that big, but it's gonna work, and it's more places for my "stuff". I was thinking that maybe a smaller size might be a good seller for us "smaller" operators. That would leave more room for lighting or fans or retractable power cords and air hoses.
I was impressed by the quality if the tapped holes for the support and reinforcing bar screws, they were easily threaded and gave no hint of stripping - even with my notorious overtorquing tendencies. The hammered finish is durable and wasn't damaged at all when I dropped one of the panels during unpacking.
All-in-all, you've got a great product here and I'm privileged to have you send me one. Thank you.

High Quality Overhead Storage Rack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gladiator overhead geartrack storage rack was shipped to us two weeks ago and delivered by Fed Ex to our front door. Its a heavy box (approx. 80 lbs) so I recommend having two people move it to your garage for starters.
All listed parts were present, and it only required a drill (the drill bit for drilling starter was included!), socket wrench and stud finder. With the help of a couple of neighbors I was able to install the unit myself.
I love the adjustable height feature (from 23" to 37"), its installed over our hot water heater in garage, so if we need to adjust height when water heater goes, it should be easy since the EZ connect locking pins are a pleasure to work with. We have 10 ft drywall ceilings.
Living in Florida we truly appreciated the corrosion resistant materials, and look forward to a long life for this quality constructed product.

Excellent Garage Storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything in my garage is Gladiator products so I had high expectations for this Overhead Gearloft product. It did not disappoint. As with all Gladiator products I own, this product is extremely well built. Instructions for assembly is well laid out. This unit is adjustable so I was able to get maximum storage space and still be able to open the garage door. I am so happy with this unit I will be ordering another one just like to add to the opposite side of the garage.

Durable Construction and Finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good packing and I loved the quality of the product. The hammered finish of the paint looks great and should hold up well. I was in a bid after laying out the product in my garage and came to the realization that my ceiling was just going to be to high. Using a ladder to store items was not a family friendly ordeal. I decided to hang this in my utility room in our basement. We did not have space to go 4'x8' so I just used the two panels and went 2'x8' which turned out great. My biggest problem with this design is first getting the layout on a ceiling square and spaced perfect. Have a simple cage to assemble first and then just screw up would have been easier. The other is attaching the bottom section to the hangers. I needed two people to lift and also two more to attach each hanger. I would advise a short video showing the best way and I can't image holding a 4'x8' section in the air you will need to have some sort of support. Overall a successful project and install.

Great product, we did the 4x8 loft and ended up having to put it up in two pieces. The ceiling was high and it was heavy for two of us to get it up that far. We figured it out though. Split it in half and was able to hang out and then put it back together.
