Fold down door very difficult to open

I bought this unit a few months ago & like it a lot, except for one thing that I am having an issue with - the fold down door is very very very difficult to open. The fit of the fold down door mechanism (one on each side) for keeping the door in place when closed is so tight that I struggle to open the door; it usually takes several strong pulling attempts to get the door to open. I've tried to make the grasping mechanism wider but it hasn't helped. I would love to hear any suggestions from Gladiator.

This thing is great! I use it all the time. It was in my garage when I bought the place. I loved it so much when I moved and took it with me. Now I am setting up my new garage. The panels are expensive and heavy to install, but man does my garage look good!
