"Little package with a LARGE PUNCH"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!!! How do they keep doing this? I was amazingly suppressed on how well this portable speaker performed in large rooms to small confined spaces. Perfect for work, the beach, bookshelf area, or just put it in your bookbag and off you go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried several offerings in this category of portable Bluetooth speakers and found the JBL Flip to be clearly superior, and the sound quality just keeps getting bigger and better with each new version. Most speakers in this category attempt to fake "big" sound by just jacking artificial bass frequencies that sound muddy and distort easily. In contrast, the JBL Flip 7 sounds truly big -- surprisingly big for the size -- full, clear and well-balanced with crisp highs, natural mids and proportional bass. It easily fills the room with exceptional sound that is surprisingly expansive for just emitting from a single speaker. You can also pair with compatible Flip speakers to create a stereo combo that is quite impressive. I love to pair this (either one or two speakers) with my MacBook for an amazing portable cinematic experience watching movies on the road. Using the JBL Portable app, I get easy software updates and EQ customization that allows me to further shape the sound experience to my personal taste and music styles.
This upgraded version includes a new carry system that allows you to quick-attach a short carry strap, switch to a carabiner, or remove the carry hardware altogether — all done very quickly with the clever modular clip-in system. Be aware that the clip-in strap is shorter than past models, so it doesn’t work as a wrist strap. Also be aware there’s no charge cable included, a change with which I am perfectly fine. I think most people have far exceeded cable clutter saturation from all the modern devices we purchase. The average person really only needs a few good charge cables anyway, not one for every device we own, and I see this as progressive step in reducing consumer waste.
As stated, sound quality is where this speaker shines above the competition, and I’m totally loving this speaker for use around the house and yard paired with my iPhone and MacBook. Highly recommended!

Can’t connect speakers

I bought the flip 5 a couple of months ago, then bought the flip 7 specifically so I old connect the two for a stereo affect .i have the app and can not connect them ,I thought i could connect them but can’t! This should be stated somewhere in the advertisement, instead of leading me to believe I could connect them

Thank you for your feedback. Stereo mode requires two identical units, so you'll need an additional JBL Flip 5. Our JBL Flip 7 features Auracast, as listed on our website, for connecting to other Auracast-compatible speakers.

I returned it. It turned out to not be compatable w/ another JBL flip I have. Since I couldn’t pair them I had no need for it. Also,I didn’t think the sound was as good as the older one.

Bought a jbl 7 came with no charger and it sounds crappy …for Father’s Day gift to my husband he didn’t like it as well

To help reduce electronic waste and because many of our customers already have several USB-C cables from other devices, newer JBL products like the JBL Flip 7 no longer include a charging cable in the box. The speaker is compatible with any standard USB-C cable, which you were able to use. We do try to make this clear in the product information, but we understand that it can be an adjustment. Your input is valuable, and we’ll be sure to pass it along to the appropriate team.

45min playtime, not 16hr !!!

Bought 2 of these last wee. It's built well, and sounds good. But the battery is horrible. Lucky to get 45 minutes of use unless plugged in. Is it possible to replace the battery?

BITE SIZE BUT MIGHTY!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this mini sub version of the larger JBL portable speakers. Its small enough to fit in my pocket but offers a clear rich sound. I use this whencin cleaning my car as it comes with me everywhere I move. Great little gadget!
