Defender wifi version cameras are terrible

Terrible. Defender is relatively new with these wifi version of their cameras. I tried both the 4K fixed guard wifi camera and also the 4K Everwatch PTZ wifi camera. The 4K fixed guard wifi camera would not even connect using the bluetooth and QR code on multiple devices. For the 4K Everwatch PTZ wifi camera, I was able to get it connected, but their demo video shows it following a person walking, however in my testing over multiple days, it would follow random things and never return back to the original spot on my driveway, so it would get stuck viewing my landscaping garden or view of my gutter, which is pointless and not worth keeping at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once connected, works well

I have found motion detection is sketchy on other cameras, but these work as they should. Some difficulty positioning them. They have 3 options for night vision. Max storage micro SD card is 256 GB. They will record 24/7, and still send alerts, you can choose vehicle, human, and motion. For easier file review, it appears the pay cloud storage is needed, but it is very reasonably priced. The video is clear and colors bright. I have slower wireless internet, and it records and plays back well. The initial setup was not difficult. I had a weak wifi signal where I wanted to place them, had to move my extender closer. I have the wireless versions, but they have ethernet connectors also. I would purchase these again.

These cameras are the best I’ve used. I’ve owned other comparable wifi cameras and nothing I’ve used even comes close to the Defender products. The ease of use, connectivity and user friendly Defender Guard app is flawless. I recommended these along with Defender products to all my family and friends and have even expanded my system to Defender wireless and POE Sentinel systems and every one gives me the same reliability and best resolution available.

Super easy to install, and love the crisp picture. Only quip I had is that 60’ runs are tight when going to opposite ends of the house, 80’ cable runs would have been much better as I had to extend 2 of my camera runs.

You changed your hookup technology, this new system can't be run in parallel with my previous Defender system. That's of little consequence, I'll run them side by side, but it wouldn't have been nice to have had a certain consistency.

I bought this back in November and almost returned it, so glad I didn't, the view is crystal clear..it is as easy to set up as it says, pretty much screw in mounting and connect camera to it.

Love my old set of these, so when I went looking to add on, I decided to get as close as possible to what I had. What a great choice! The new ones are even better! Fantastic picture and love the fact that it lets you know if it's a human detected, automobile , or motion.
